BoonEx, community software experts, with assistance of the NGO "Center for Public Policy" carried out a charity action to support elderly people living in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic).

The Kyrgyz Repulic is known as a country with a low level economy where vulnerable members of the population, such as elderly people, suffer most of all when having to live alone with a small pension and feeling unprotected.

BoonEx, as an active participant of community service actions, could not ignore this problem and made its contribution to helping the elderly. The company representatives, along with members of the NGO "Center for Public Policy." visited 15 elderlies and provided them with different basic food items such as buckwheat, rice, sugar, oil, sausage, biscuits, tea, sweets - things that it is not always possible to get on scanty monthly payments.

In doing this, we aim to support the elderly living in Bishkek to let them know they are not alone and make them feel that there are people ready to support them in hard times, - BoonEx representative said.

During the visits, BoonEx staff members had a wonderful time talking to the elderly who, as it was discovered, in spite of terrible living conditions, loneliness and poverty do not lose courage and enjoy life by doing some job they enjoy in order to feel they're needed.

This charity action, held on the 26-27th of July, 2006, was not the first time the BoonEx Club has served as a part of community service. Previous actions were arranged on behalf of AEwebworks Dating Software Development Ltd, a BoonEx company. The BoonEx Group is planning to continue organizing charity actions, the goal of which is to thank the local community for the opportunity to operate effectively.
