Admin rights to a 3rd ?

Good afternoon, have a simple question.

They're 2 members to who I want to grant them admin level.

I started by creating the members with "standard" rights ( wich means ALL rights ).

Then, usinf Deano' tools mod, I granted them the "admin" rights.

When they log, no problem and they have access to the "admin tool", and all that.

Question appeared in the "events" page. When you're admin, you have access to 10 "actions" ( edit, cancel, and so on ).

Question is that, when my 2 new admins log, they don't have access to 2 of these "actions", "Invite" and "Edit participants".

Why is that ? Aren't they admins ? They told me that they had same problem somewhere else but I'm waiting for them to look at it.

I did the above procedure yesterday and it looked to work and now, it won't. Probably forgot something.

Tanks  :)

It's actually most likely a bug in the events module.

I am guessing it's tied to the owner of the event. And admin status is being ignored.

Yup.

I verified it. It's a bug. Those actions are not admin actions. They are event owner actions. The module is ignoring admin status.

Thanks for the prompt answers.

Detective 08: I opened the accounts with "standard", wich has ALL permissions

Deano: Could it be because the event has been created with admin ( the "real" one ) ?

Yeah, I see what your saying ... but; if you had been messing with the settings /permissions, it's easy to mistakenly make changes and not realize, hence my answer. It seems Deano is correct and identified the reason why its not working for you =)

Thanks guys,

Only thing I'll have to do is to ask one of my "second hand" admins to create the events then, they'll be able to do what they can't.

Thanks again, great help................... as usual   :)

Nope. It does not matter who creates the event. Only the owner can access those actions.
