For some reason, anything having to do with Orca, whether it be on the forum page or stats about it on other pages, has [L[ before and ]] after.

I had this problem back during the 6.0 days. For some reason with 7.0 I'm having the same problem again, except this solution doesn't apply any more..?

Anyway, yeah I'm seeing the [L[blah]] on everything at the orca forum, and I tried to "recompile language" a bunch of times under the modules page. When I try to access the actual forum settings under the modules tab it forwards me to the forum on the actual site.

Any help would be awesome...

modules/boonex/forum/conf

modules/boonex/forum/layout

modules/boonex/forum/log

This may sound a little weird but have you tried disabling the cache when you try to compile your language?

There are a couple areas to disable cache:

Admin Panel>Settings>Advanced Settings>Other (DB Cache and PB Cache)

Admin Panel>Settings>Advanced Settings>Template (Disable all template caching)

Clear your /cache (except for .htaccess) and /cache_public directories via FTP client and  try to recompile again.

mostly its a Google Chrome problem.

I had the same problems too.

Compile didn't work etc.

But I cleaned the cache and its all solved in Firefox, IE8 and Safari.

In Chrome problem remains (but who still does use Chrome right? )

I can't reproduce this issue with Chromium. And to answer your question, a lot of people do, including me.

Thanks, prolaznik!

I had been having trouble understanding how to manage my forums.  I'd spent, literally, hours trying to figure out how to add topics, not Groups.  I was moments away from removing the Module with the intent to figure it out later... after sleeping on it.  After seeing your post to compile the language, the page took form and things clicked.  Instantly.

Unrelated?  Maybe, but something just made sense after that.

What I don't understand is why Orca seems to have an extra "layer" called Groups.  Most forums I've seen follow the structure of  Forum > Topic > Posts, yet Orca's organization is Group > Forum > Topic > Post.  I don't expect an explanation, but I find it odd and it was confusing, given my experience with other forums.  Maybe this confuses others as well, and maybe I'll find a use for Groups.

Thanks again for your simple, yet enlightening, post!
