Dolphin 7.0.9 - fresh install - only Boonex mods installed - no customizations
Before you ask, yes... I cleared the cache manually. ; )
Even after unchecking 'Mandatory' on the following fields, they remain mandatory. The red astericks get removed from the profile fields area, but the form refuses to submit without these fields filled in.
1. First Name 2. Last Name 3. Date of Birth 4. Headline 5. Description 6. City 7. Postcode 8. Probably others, but these were the fields I wanted to be optional.
I've dicked around in the database and nothing seems to fix this.
Anyone have a clue how to make these so that they aren't mandatory anymore? (besides removing those fields completely from the form?)
Appreciation to the person who can point me in the right direction on this one. It's really friggin' annoying me.
Thanks,
Corey |

Did you change min & max values in advanced?
If not, then delete the values there so they are blank |

You know, I could have sworn I tried that - but I must not have as it fixed the problem.
I *knew* it would be something stupid like that. I should have asked in the regular forum first.
My bad.
Thanks for clarifying this for me rhimpr - it is MUCHO appreciated!

Appreciate you moving it. Thanks.
I've been around here long enough to know better than to post straight to the bugs forum. Doh! :P
Have a great night =D

Is this problem still around? I don't know about you, but those values should be ignored when the mandatory option is unchecked.
Edit: Going to reproduce and make a ticket. Would you like to install the Be boot manager? Volunteer SuperModerator. I'm not tech support. |

Yeah, it's still there. I just forgot how to work around it. I agree that those fields should be ignored.
Don't know if anyone ever made a ticket for this one or not. |

I was having the same issue. Never dawned on me to remove the min & max numbers entered when mandatory was turned off.
Thanks for adding the fix Nathan.. |

rhimph provided the "fix." I only reported the problem to the developers. I'll update this topic when the changeset arrives, though. Would you like to install the Be boot manager? Volunteer SuperModerator. I'm not tech support. |
