 Hi,
I must be doing something wrong with the Facebook Connect module as when I try and join via facebook connect it just logs me into facebook and no new user gets registered at my website.
Can someone who has set this module up please give me some advice?
you can try at http://www.truckbuddies.com
Thanks in advance.

Still no go, I logged into facebook first then while still logged in I tried to use facebook option on login form then it took me to facebook asking for facebook password, then when that entered it just logged me into facebook again.

Try to first log into FB and then use the connect module. Should do the trick

You might have forgotten to enter the Base Domain ( truckbuddies.com ) field in your App. Settings on Facebook |

I just upgraded to Dolphin 7.0.2 from v7.0.0 Although FB/Twitter is connected. The update Ajax does not show in the users profile page. |

I just installed 7.0.2 and I'm having a problem using Facebook Connect.
When I try using it I'm taken to Facebook to login and after clicking Login the page changes to blank and the "Token" part of the url in the address bar keeps changing.
http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/modules/?r=facebook_connect%2Flogin_form&auth_token=8423429d0d776cffc9cb8e0c2fb77a98
Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks,
Gary |

Facebook updated their API after the release of Dolphin 7.0.2. So to get it working you need to update to the latest version of the facebook connect module from the svn repository, or remove facebook connect and wait for the release of 7.0.3 which will have the updated version.
Instructions on how to update facebook connect are here near the bottom of this topic.

I downloaded the new files from the Repository. Uninstalled Facebook Connect and uploaded the new files.
Now I'm getting this error msg:
"OAuthInvalidTokenException: Error processing access token."
Its not going to Facebook at all.
What could have gone wrong?
Thanks.

That last error must be from the application. I created one yesterday and when it didn't work I created a new one, but something must be different about the two.
I went back to the first one I created and it takes me to the Facebook screen to give access to the application. When I click O.K. I'm getting an error about an Avitar not being found.
I hit the back button and I'm back to my website, and I'm connected, but no matter what i click on I get a url error.
The requested URL /wshs/m/sounds/view/What-A-Wonderful-World was not found on this server.
I think it might be a setting in the application, but I have no idea what it might be.

Logging out of Facebook and clearing the cache helped.
I was able to connect using Facebook Connect, and it created a Profile inside of Dolphin but the ID was not Activated, and couldn't do anything until the Admin Activated the account.
Plus, I tried to connect using IE8 (don't usually use IE, but I wanted to see what would happen).
Using IE it connected O.K. but got the following errors on page:

I was getting a Permission Error about one of the .htaccess files. It was not set to 644 so I changed it. So far the Facebook Connect is connecting me.
Thanks. |
