Hello - Has anyone had any luck with this module?

I purchaesed it a few days ago. It is unzipped and uploaded to my moduels folder, but it does not appear in my uninstalled modules directory. I have deleted it and reinstaled it and still no luck.

I have written the people who made it - both from his website and to his email with no response.

Any ideas how this can be remedied?

Thanks in advance -

Chris

I'm pretty sure scraping another sites images is illegal. I'm surprised that mod is in the market.

Especially in the light of Sopa Pia (Isn't that a Mexican desert?)

There are a decent number of mods and modules which can be viewed as illegal.  I've tried numerous times to have them sent to the moon, but with little success.

Maybe it isn't illegal or make or sell the mod.. just to use it??

Of course, the Profile Scrapper mod could be viewed as legal in that sense, but its intended use was obvious.

That's like Colorado where they have massive fireworks mega stores. You can buy Fireworks all day long, totally legal, you just can;t light them anywhere in the State.

Same thing here in Florida. They used to actually make you sign a waiver stating you were buying them for "agricultural use" LOL... for the last two years they haven't even bothered with the waiver. Then on the 4th or New Years there are so many people shooting off mortars it sounds like WWII. Since they can't really arrest whole neighborhoods the police just look the other way.

Even for the intended use of the created mod (or other) (by creator) can be illegal ("conspiracy to"),  "They" are really cracking down on these things.. Not something to be caught up in..

Leaving the watermark / copyright intact in NO WAY makes scraping images legal. Really it just makes it easier for the owner of the image to sue you. It's like driving a stolen car that has the real owners name and address glued to the window.

Hopefully you won't accidentally scrape a Getty Image, if you do their legal team will send you a letter to let you know you owe them $900.

There are so many royalty free websites available, that lets you use the image and even gives option to download a watermarked image. They ask you to pay only if you want to buy a clean high resolution copy without watermark.

And those preview downloads come with a license, most forbidding public posting or keeping the file available for more than a month.  It's not hard to read a license, people.

It's like fake profiles.  It exists for a questionable purpose, despite how angel-like the seller can try to make it seem.  I may not be able to pull the stuff, but don't ever expect me to provide help for either.
