Are you allowing time for the video to process before trying to play it?

Do you have your cron job setup correctly?

There are several fixes and information out here regarding this. Just use the search feature.

Check the permission level of /flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe and make sure it is set to 777

Who is your webhost provider?

Ok, not sure how you may have it setup currently since you have it listed several times. D7 only uses 1 cron job for all processing. So using what you have provided me in your posts, the only command you should see would look like this:

* * * * *   (for the minutes, days, months, etc.)

In the command line, you would have this whole string as one command:

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/myusernam/public_html/demo/periodic/cron.php

Okay Guys, First of all a special thanks to Zarcon who has always been helpful with cron jobs and permissions stuff.

I tried everything and it didn't work, basically i confused 777 with 755 as for rest of the folders or any files when you have Suphp installed you use 755 otherwise it doesn't work.

Hostgator is using Suphp and Mod Security for all their servers because of the attack a year ago, although i have my own dedicated server but i thought i will give 755 to ffmpeg otherwise it won't work, but out of curiosity i chmod 777 and guess what it worked just like a charm.

For any video upload or error file not found problems these are the important steps you should know to fix it.

1. File Permissions : Make sure you have all the file permissions correct to folders and xml files.

2. Cron Job :

* * * * *   (for the minutes, days, months, etc.)

In the command line, you would have this whole string as one command:

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/myusernam/public_html/demo/periodic/cron.php

3. Permissions of /flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe is 777  (Try shell if you have root access via putty)

Some people think yes we have checked the permissions well some ftp programs like wsftp and other they dont set permissions correctly sometimes, so make sure you verify its done properly.

Anyways follow these 3 important steps and i don't you think you will have any problems.

@Meonex - Check to see if you have mp4 listed in your file types for videos. If you go into Admin Panel>Modules>Videos> the click the setting button,. you will see that "allowed" video types there. Is mp4 listed?

I have this problem also and can't figure it out.  The permissions seem to be correct.  My chron settings are as follows.  Any other ideas?

cd /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/periodic; /usr/bin/php -q cron.php
