Yes, it runs fine on both. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
I am running on PHP 5.6 and the current mySQL community edition. Yes, some deprecation and strict errors on PHP Geeks, making the world a better place |
okay i planning to upgrade to php 5.4 mysql 5.5 and my os to centos 6 or 7 it been a while. Just want to make sure the site would actual run with on php 5.4 Yes, some deprecation and strict errors on PHP What problems have your seen? thanks http://vi-bin.com |
Unless you were thinking of 5.6 then any error messages won't apply strictly; some might. I ran for a long time on 5.4.24 and everything was smooth. I would suggest that you run the latest mySQL community. If you are going to be on Cento OS (there were some changes with 7 that made me decide to not run CentOS 7; read up on it first); anyway, with CentOS you can download the yum repository for SQL community server and you can then easily keep SQL server up to date. I can help with this; the repository is on the mySQL website. You can then simply yum the SQL server and it will check and install all dependencies; you will want to run the new php connector; the old one is deprecated. As I said, I can help with this.
