show profiles on frontpage

Can anyone tellme how to make a block in the front (that i know)

But i need 5 random profiles pictures in it.

So people see that inside are people..

I think you know that there already is a block which can show profiles.

But you want only one homepage block with 5 random profile pictures (without name?), right?

why not just show the latest members bock?

Dolphin ships with a block you can add to your Home Page to show members; it defaults to displaying the latest members to join the site.  Go to your admin, Builders, and then Pages Builder.  Go to the Homepage in the Builder.  Look in the Inactive blocks for the Members block and drag it up to where you want it to appear on the page.  To set the number of members to show; Go to Advance Settings and under Profiles find Number of Top Members per page and set how many you want to show.

For random members, that would require modification to the block code and I will leave that for someone else to answer.

To make the members block show random members, download the following file and replace or edit yours.

Remember to always make a backup copy of the file(s) you edit first.

/templates/base/scripts/BxBaseIndexPageView.php is the file to replace.

Clear your cache and you will have the random members on that block now.
