Its ideal location is into the third column of your account page (as in facebook).

Through this mod you have under control all activities in real time:

• Friend requests
• Greetings
• Suggest profiles (similar profiles or with mutual friends)
• Incoming Birthdays
• Upcoming events

The informations is updated in real time thanks to Ajax.


To configure your 3Col you can open the 3Col Config form by the administration area.

Customization and configuration of the module:
- You can customize the style (fully css) and icons
- You can edit the language
- You can decide:
a) what features to enable (birthdays, events, suggestions, profiles, requests for friendship, greetings or all)
b) the number of friend requests to view at a time
c) the date format (mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy)
d) the range (period) of days for the control of incoming birthdays
e) the time difference between your MySQL server time and local time
f) the information refresh time (in seconds)
g) to suggest a profile based on similarity, on the number of mutual friends or on both conditions
h) to limit friend requests for each member per day (this prevents the spam, only from user that make the requests from 3Col. Default value is 20/day)
i) minimum thresholds for the similarity between the profiles and for mutual friends used for the suggestion profiles
l) events numbers showing at time and, days range for upcoming events
m) your friend inviter (default or custom)

NB: Friends requests/day is a parameter very usefull when you have a sharing hosting that give low resources for hosted site. This antispam system limit only the requests maked by 3col and not by other blocks, mods, pages.

ATTENTION, FOR OLD INSTALLATIONS: We have created a new log table for limit the spam (if your users make many friend requests) and then is needed uninstall the module and so reinstall.
Dont worry! the previous data not are deleted.

THIS VERSION REFRESH ONLY THE FRIENDS REQUEST. THE OTHER CONTENTS ARE REFRESHED ON PAGE LOADING EVENT IN ORDER TO DECREASE THE RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS. SO WE RECOMMENDS TO UPDATE ONLY IF YOU WANT LIMIT THE RESOURCE USED BY THIS MOD.
