Profile Types Splitter Basic

This mod allows you to have completely different profile types on your site. Each profile type can have it's own field set. You can easily control from admin panel which profile fields should be shared among all profile types and which fields should be exclusive only for a particular profile type.

Let's see it's main features on screenshots. I've made a test system with two profile types Policeman and Criminal. :)

On the first screenshot you can see profile types management tool, where you can create new profile types, delete them, or mark them active/inactive (member can't join as an inactive type, but all members who joined when it was active are still have this type). Also there is a migration tool here, which allows you to set up a particular profile type for some of existing membership levels (it's primarily designed for those who earlier was differentiating profile types by membership levels).

On the second screenshot you can see common dolphin profile field create/edit page where now you are able to choose to whom this field is relevant. Thus here you can define specific field set for each profile type.

Now you can visit http://dolphin70.aqbsoft.com/join.php. Try to select different profile types there and notice how join form differs.

Now visit please two demo profiles:

and notice that each of them displays it's own fields set (although most of the profile fields are shared).

Another feature of this mod - is the ability to control page blocks also. You as an admin can control which page block on profile view page is relevant to a particular profile type and also on all pages which have appropriate Page Builder in admin panel you can control which page block should be visible to which profile type. As an example, I decided that Dolphin's Rate feature is applied to Criminal profiles only and at the same time can be viewed by Policemen. And I've achieved that in a few mouse clicks.

Thus Rate block is showing only on profiles of Criminal profile type and can be viewed and used only by Policemen. At any other circumstances Rate block wouldn't ever appear.

And another useful feature of this product is the ability to control top menu and member menu links visibility.

For example on our demo site I decided to hide `Online Members` menu item from the menu from Criminals. Thus on our demo site

you'll never see `Online Members` under `People` top menu item if you're not logged or logged as a Criminal.

Although in the example above there was only 2 profile types - this mod allows you to create up to 30 profile types.

Update:

Module was completely reworked for Dolphin 7.0.X. Now it doesn't affect any core database tables which means that there wouldn't be any conflicts while installing any other modules. Also it now slightly affects only 7 core files versus 12 in the old revision. Installation instructions is a file of only about 100 lines versus 670 in the old revision.
