Mail Marketing

This allows members to send mass mail broadcasts to a subset of the site members at a cost. It is intended to provide a legitimate way for members to promote their interests without spamming while at the same time facilitating the site to earn money. This is suitable for any kind of sites - From business-oriented sites that wants to allow their members to promote their business to social-oriented sites where members could use this to promote Events, Parties etc.

SELECTION CRITERIA

When sending a broadcast, the member can set conditions that define the specific subset of members that should get the message. See the available options below :

• Members that speak specific language(s) - For Multi-Language sites


• Gender


• Couples


• Country - Ability to select multiple


• Age - Ability to select a Range


• Membership Levels - Ability to select multiple

Members can choose delivery mode(Site Inbox or External Mail), depending on which options are allowed by the Administration configuration settings for the module.


MAILING LISTS

When a broadcast is being sent the criteria that is setup (Country, Age Range etc.) can be saved as a mailing list for future use. Therefore, in the future when a new broadcast message is being created, the member can choose from one of the predefined mailing lists instead of setting up the criteria again.

Once created, a member has the ability to modify a mailing list and change the criteria.


MESSAGE CREATION

Step 1 - When creating a broadcast message, the member enters a Message Title and the Body of the Message.

Step 2 - They then Select the Criteria for Message Recipients or choose from existing Mailing Lists.

Step 3 - If Criteria is selected above, this can be saved as a new mailing list.

Step 4 - The message is saved.

Step 5 - Depending on the configuration the Message is Auto Approved or awaits moderation from the Administrator


MESSAGE BROADCASTING

Messages are sent in batches. The administrator defines how many members are contained in a batch. For example, if a batch contains 100 members, you can broadcast to multiples of 100 (eg, 200, 300, 400 etc).
Administrator set the price per batch and this can vary for each payment method.

The page displays the available payment methods and the available balance the member has for each.

The page displays the cost per batch for broadcasting.

The page displays the number of members that meet your selected criteria and also the number of batches this count represents (eg. 580 members = 6 batches if each batch contains 100 members)

Finally, you select the amount of members you wish receive the broadcast.

If there are no members fitting the criteria of the message, a broadcast is not allowed.


PAYMENT METHODS

Shopping Cart - Integrates with Dolphin Shopping Cart so that members can utilize whatever Payment Gateways (eg. Paypal, AlertPay etc.) are configured on the site to make payment.

Points - Optional integration with my Points module so that members can use Points to broadcast messages.

Credits - Optional integration with my Credits module so that members can use Credits to broadcast messages.


MAILER MAIN PAGE

Displays listing of all broadcast messages that have been created.

Displays Calendar to allow browsing of broadcast messages by date.

Displays listing of all saved Mailing lists


ADMINISTRATION SETTINGS

Configure which Payment methods are allowed (Points, Credits, Shopping Cart)

Define the cost of broadcasting.

Define the Max. number of batches a single message can be broadcasted to.

Define how often a particular member is allowed to send broadcasts.

Configure which membership levels are allowed to use the broadcasting feature.
