A site everyone should visit at least once...

I am referring to Gibson Research Corporation website, www.grc.com.   When the web page opens, you will see a "Shields Up" item.  Click on that to open up a whole new world of info..

The reason I'm suggesting that you visit this site is that the DDoS attack on Boonex recently has brought the idea of site protection to front and center.  Not only should your sites be secured and protected, but also the PC you use to connect to it to upload files, access your server files and more.

Do some tests on your own PC, your web site(s) and any other pc's or servers you use on a regular basis.  You will be surprised at some of the holes in your security if you are like 99% of the typical users out there (not that YOU are of course).....

These are all free tools and at the very least might give you some ideas about tightening the security of your own personal PC if not your web sites.
