Profile Video is connecting for ever

On Install I am getting permissions errors, even after changing all so that all options are green, on next step I get this error message in a red box:

Next files have inappropriate permissions:
ray/modules/shoutbox/xml/config.xml;
ray/modules/shoutbox/xml/langs.xml;
ray/modules/shoutbox/xml/main.xml;
ray/modules/shoutbox/xml/skins.xml;

Also these items dissappear from the permissions list.
Tried various permissions and notheing can get me past this glitch.

I uploaded all files and then went to upgrade.php and i get the following error

I have tried importing the new database and everything seems to work but it says i am still on 6.1.4 and i still have widgets which i thought had been removed.

I face that into orca/groupsforum, the tiny-mse is not loading anymore. LOADING POST TOPIC PAGE... there it will be hangup.

Good to see a patch being worked on, well done. Big thumbs up here.

A couple of problems I found after upgrading to 6.1.5 from 6.1.4 are as follows:

1/ All contacts incorrectly show as 'online' in presence.

2/ Boonex Unity link showing in movie player and profile music player plugins. Replacing player.swf with 6.1.4 versions fixes issue.

I am happy to help test any bugfixes for these issues for the 6.1.6 release.

3/ Change all short tags to long tags - many hosts disable the short tags function and increasing compatibility is a good thing.

4/ Change the RSS feature used for aggregating forum posts to utilise either a local function call to get the RSS data or at worst case a relative path. The RSS issue that many experience (constantly spinning icon for forum posts) is due to WSP's disabling loop-backs. Again - this increases Dolphin compatibility and is both worthwhile and probably a relatively easy see more fix.

I haven't had time to test 6.1.5 to see if these changes have been made, but one of your "unsung heros" on the forums - "Okweb" - has done some enhancements and bug fixes that really improve Dolphin.

This one fixes the way alerts are sent on private messages, and in my opinion makes it work properly:

Also, while not technically "a bug" it would be really nice if we had the option to use use TinyMCE in the profiles "DescriptionMe" field. There are mods that do that on the forums, but there are security issues that are not well understood, and it would be nice if you could supply this as a feature, and ensure that is is secure.

orca bug in firefox

the first thing that i have to do is say thanks, for your work.

I have some problem
I couldnt edit the HTML BLOCK The tnyMCE HTML Editor. didnt appear
i have instaled the 6.1.5 version
what could i do

After upgrading from v6.1.4 to 6.1.5, i had some weird looking Admin login page, no link to the actuall Admin Panel (I coded that myself in), and other weird looking links showing in the admin panel and in the footer.
I decided to do a fresh install with 6.1.5
Now I cannot even complete the installation.
First in the instalation I get a message telling me to turn off "register_globals". Done that thru custom php.ini, then when I try to continue with the installation I get: "safe_mode see more is on, disable it".
The safe_mode on my hosting company it is off.
From that point there is no way I can continue with the installation. I installed the previous version very smooth, but this is going nowhere.

It seems dolphin needs some professional developers since 6.15 was supposed to 'fix' problems with 6.14; yes "every" version is an 'upgrade' but has more bugs than the version before it. 6.16 will probably be even more buggy than 6.15, given past boonex experiences. Why won't they ever just fix a certain version instead of ignoring it and moving on to a totally different version every time??? Can't they just admit that they don't know how to fix their own software?

Profile video doesn't seem to work as mentioned earlier. My RMS works fine with everything else.

Write permissions that show in the installer are buggy. Apparently it's worse on Windows but they showed wrong on perm-rollbacks with my Linux install too. I was able to skip that part and install was successful, but thought I would mention it.

Would you be able to get rid of the directory name "orca" and just call it "forums" or something like that, since you are getting rid of orca anyway.

I have a new installation of Dolphin which was not an upgrade from the previous version. My php.ini is configured correctly, in that:
register_globals is off
allow_url_include is off
get_magic_quotes_gpc is on

I am getting Cron messages sent to me from .../periodic/notifies.php falsely reporting that they are on, on and off respectively. Is this a bug?

In addition, I have several domains hosted on the same server, and having to turn off allow_url_include now means that one of my other sites see more doesn't display correctly :o(

However, as RMS does not appear to work with my web host (Host Gator) I'd like to know if anyone else who uses Host Gator has RMS working properly. If not, it seems I'll have 2 reasons to get my Dolphin site hosted elsewhere.
