Dolphin 7 (Hookie). Alpha Build 16.
One more update of Hookie Alpha today. Some interesting things to look at, most importantly...
- Privacy settings. So far you can touch them at Sites and Feedback modules. it's only a start - we're improving them now and will add to all modules. Members will able to make content public or private, and restrict it to friends/members or predefined groups.
- Member menu is gradually improving - a little smaller now, has tooltips, red-counters, some fixes and will soon have built-in messenger.
- Notifications will now appear as Growl-like pop-ups in upper-right corner of the site and will be reflected in member menu.
- Events now have administration module for owner. Similar "admin block" concept will be deployed on all modules, so that members could easily add/edit/delete content on their pages, like photos, blog, articles, etc.
- Membership purchase interface, shopping cart, payments administration are now being added and you can give it a glance. Payment/cart functionality is palnned to be site-wide and can be used for Store, Ads, even Photos, if needed.
- Account/Dashboard is being redesigned too. It will also have site/friends tracker, similar to what you see at facebook.
- We test some changes in navigation menu, such as "icons" instead of test for some tabs and search-in-tab. We'll see how it goes.
- Sites module is getting better, with new subtabs, such as Featured and Hot-or-not.
- Current location feature added to profile-map (Google Maps)
- Youtube embeds for video, they now work same as native site videos, with their own pages.
- Some fixes in media uploads and other site features... many of them.
All-in-all it's pretty hot here. 7.0 and now 6.1.5 are all around us, day and night. Great times. Stay tuned.

Also, the new icons in the navgation menu look good altough the one for the search box is inappropriate. It does not need to come under an icon. It will look much better if the search box is placed under the QUOTES in the header rather than the navigation menu. Looks a little mismatched.

There is a "bread-crumb" ... HOME > PEOPLE > SEARCH
We think its not needed there. The sub-menu already shows you that you are in the PEOPLE category so from a design point of view the bread crumbs they don't make any aesthetic sense.

Thanks a lot, you made my day by adding that feature in D7. But as other people reported, its not working currently, but I think that would be fixed soon.
For the first time, I really like the way the 'member menu' displays now..it looks pretty good !!!

Your post is very unclear. There are tons of dating scripts available online, just type it into google. However, if you don't want to wait for Dolphin 7, try using Dolphin 6.1.4 or wait a few days for Dolphin 6.1.5. These are very good social networking scripts that can also be used for a dating script. However, you will need to do some major modifications to your index page. If you can't do this, find a script elsewhere.

Horrible customer service but the dating (not social networking) software mostly works. Just don't count on friendly support and they do not give refunds.
video upload failed (file error)
and why upload? i dont want this youtube video on my server... i just want to stream it from my website as an EMBED video...
the membership is also missing... i cant test the payment gateway system because there is no package in the membership section...
but for the icon and the popup info menu... this is perfect!!

about navigation menu I think nice design but if you add icon it will need to expan when the mouse move over it as like the bar ..
I have suggestion for the member menu : I wish add the language icon to it and remove it from the navigation menu I think it will be fave

I'm really impressed since I was last on demozzz.com/dolphin7a a couple of weeks back.
I'm pretty sure that everyone will be happy when its out for all.
Member verification photo upload module would be nice, especially for juveniles website below the age of 16 to give the kids a bit security as well as the admin.
Which is of course good as well for dating sites and shopping cart.

it is the search by region / state
I do not understand why you do not add
for sites that are a single country - the members love to be able to see and looking for members close
you add;

People Search - Options

why not change to:

Country + region or state + department or counties
add fields on the see more
