How do you reduce the size (height) of the promo area?

I would like to keep the width of the promo block area, but reduce the height to, say, 80px. I upload the proper sized photos, but the overall area is still too large.

I have a feeling this feature does not exist in the admin control panel and might need to be implemented directly in code.

Please advise.

Can you elaborate on this? I have the same problem as the original thread's author. I would like to shrink the height of the promo block. Where do you change the ratio in design.inc.php.

In Dolphin 7 you can change the height of the promo block at line 138 of the index.css. Dont forget to take caching off or hold down ctrl for IE or shift for firefox when refreshing. A lesson I learned the hard way.
