What do I have to do to get up to date Flash source?

Is it even possible?  Or is it once again, a closely guarded secret?

I really would like to try changing a few webcam init settings.  It'll take every bit of two minutes.,,, if I had the source files, that is.

You do realize there's a repository you can access for this, don't you?

He does. And those files are out of date.

Actually, there there is currently no flash source at svn... out of date, or otherwise. I could go drop 130 bucks on actionscript replacer, but since I have adobe flash CS5, I'd rather not. I may not have any choice though. I can't stand waiting days and weeks, just to do something I know will take five minutes.

Yeah, we were promised over a year ago early access to both the Flash Module & Trident source code for Prime members, but so far, nothing. Even access to the latest (buggy) SVN source and builds would be good.

Odd. I can checkout the source files without any problems. I'm unaware of how fresh the repository is, though.
houstonlively
Really? Give me a link to any fla file
Nathan Paton
You have to use a SVN client to download those files. If you're on Windows, TortoiseSVN (http://tortoisesvn.net/) will do the trick.
deano92964
Hmm. Guess i was wrong. LOL.

Ok. Try here. svn://svn.boonex.com/flash/trunk
deano92964
But now that i see that dates. They appear way out of date.
houstonlively
OK Magnussoft.... how 'bout you go to svn, with your little svn client, and download any fla file. Perhaps you know something I don't.
Nathan Paton
@houstonlively: Sure.
houstonlively
So hotshot... you downloaded any fla files yet?
Nathan Paton
I have the entire trunk downloaded. You just need to use the appropriate link in the topic (or below).
deano92964
I downloaded sucessfully at this link. svn://svn.boonex.com/flash/trunk
houstonlively
Deano,.. I'll look at the files at that link. Apparently Rays changed this crap around a bit, and didn't feel it necessary to tell me. I don't know that those are any different than the flash source I already have.

I'll probably just go buy ASR and work directly with the swf file. I'm tired of messing with this crap, and at least that way, I'll know I'm working with the latest version.
houstonlively
I give up on those source files. I don't think they are the actual files used to compile the flash apps used in the current version of D7. I guess I'll just go plunk down 130 bucks for ASR... it's only money right?

The chat app produces and swf about 7kb larger than the one that comes with D7. I don't think Boonex is going to fork over the real deal as far as flash source. Screw it... I'll do it another way.
deano92964
Yea. Based on the repo dates, everything there appears to be over a year old.
houstonlively
I don't have the Myriad Pro font on my system, and it doesn't properly map to anything so far. Any chance of including the font files in the flash source?
markdrabble
quick question...... how do you recompile the flash sources?
markdrabble
ahh right.... i got cs5 suite.... so save the fla as normal to a swf and I am assuming it will add the bx code files which I can edit with dreamweaver....
markdrabble
I know you may not be able to answer this... but worth asking..... on the chat... there is a whisper tick box.... do you think that could be removed and to send whispers you had to type in a command such as <username> followed by message???

Thanks in advance
