You have to make sure that your site_username has permissions to access the site_dbname. If you are not using the default account you have to explicitly add the site_username using cpanel. It's the same page where you see the list of databases you have. Your site_username will show up in the list. When you see it, add it to the list of users allowed to access the site_dbname.
