Flash uploader does not appear anywhere

Reported by: houstonlively Owned by: AndreyP
Priority: minor Milestone: Dolphin 7.0b (Hookie) - Feature Final
Keywords: uploadify Cc:

Description

The flash uploader does not appear when selected from the dropdown list when uploading photos to an album. The uploader button also does not appear when posting media to the wall, so I assume it does not appear anywhere that it should. An error, "You have a problem with your javascript" appears. When the uploader's swf is accessed directly in a browser (/media/app/common_uploader.swf), it does appear to be functioning. Screen shot is attached. This problem exists in both FF and IE.

This is a strange problem. I have seen this working on demozzz.com and another D7-B1 installation. So far, on 2 separate installations(on the same shared server), this does not work. Could this be some sort of server issue? I am running suPHP. I will give any access that is necessary to my server if it helps.

I added results for IE 7/8 + FF 3.0.5 As you see - u\flash uploader works fine If you will try to open (in browser) direct flash application media/app/common_uploader.swf It will not show, just because it require additional parameters.

The fact remains, that on 2 separate installations on my server, it does not work. Can this be a server issue?

Problem was due to shared server firewall rejecting Shockwave Flash user agent of multi-uploader
