Admin menu, member admin

Just wondering what ever became of the old members admin menu.
It really was a lot easier to use.
I know there is a free mod that kind of looks like the old menu, but my question is, why was the members admin page changed?

Changed, for we're heading to very configurable and universal navigation system that plays well with the renewed layout.

It's all a matter of many aspects - builders, blocks, editors...

Yeah, but right now we're stuck with 1 admin, and a very, very,very bad moderators system. If I'm wrong, please let me know ...
