DOLPHIN 6.1 - USELESS FOR BUSINESS?

Have the Dolphin developers purposely made their product so it can't be used for business? I'm really starting to think that and an extremely disappointed in the direction they have taken on 6.1. Here is a post I just made in their Expertzzz forum.

Well then maybe you can help me, because after suffering COUNTLESS hours trying to get rid of the tightly integrated dating functions (and completely trashing my database several times) I finally threw in the towel and deleted the entire thing and re-installed 6.1. I was extremely hopeful that with the heavily hyped new version, I would FINALLY be able to use Dolphin for my business application- and it does have some cool features for business if there were a way to get rid of it. Now the VERY FIRST thing I tried was to get rid of that "Profile Type" feature, and the developers strange obsession with couples dating- and I found that THIS CANNOT BE DONE - at least without modifying the code and probably producing another unstable system. I'm extremely disappointed that they did this in 6.1 as it has made the software all but useless for business, and I have to assume that the developers do not want their software used for business for some reason.

	Rob, Well I think if you read what dolphin is, it sure isnt a business application. Although, we have done many customizations to allow for the system to be used for almost any type of application. CyberXing

	Yeah CyberXing is right. Please read what Dolphin is or in which way it is going. Well, im also missing some things which were announced for 6.1 BUT youll never find such a script like dolphin for FREE!!

	Not sure what all the fuss is about....All you have to do is go to the Admin page, select "Builders" on the left hand side, then "Fields Builder". That should open up with the "Join Form" tab selected. Just drag the box that says "couple" down to the "Inactive Items" area at the bottom of the page. Done.

	So you are serious about this, because I'm testing the product and if it fit the needs of the company I work for, it will be a huge investment with Boonex products. How customizable is Dolphin? Can I add business logic into it? can I modify the source code to fit my needs? Or can I get the hell out with my questions and use a framework?
