Actually, based on the error you listed, its a problem with 'ecards" specifically the "ecardsgeneratesendlink() " function.

What happened was the E-Cards mod was probley overwritten by the new upgrade, which you have to re-integrate that MOD into Dolphin.

nuccca, but I don't know how nor do i need to know how. all i know is the upgrade made it happen and they have to tell me what to do to fix it. This is a production site and this kind of upgrade errors are not acceptable.

Do you have e-cards installed on your Dolphin site?

because if you did, or do, you must be aware that e-cards is a Modification NOT created by BoonEx, thus BoonEx doesnt cover or plan to cover MODIFICATION support because, well, they didnt create the MODS, so basically your screwed until you reinstall ecards properly or take it out completely.

You will have to do this each time you want to upgrade, and you will have to upgrade each MOD you have. Thats why BoonEx now includes very detailed changelogs.

nuccca, i bought ecards from boonex as a complete package. so as far as I or any customer would be concerned it is their package. the installation instructions should say how to get around this problem or worn people. If I knew it was going to do this do you think I or anybody would upgrade without getting full documentation first and setting up a QA server to try it on first.

You are very correct in what you are saying and sound very knowledgeable, I hope BoonEx understand that we need people that know the product inside and out and are available during all times to help us. This product is sold world wide and support must be around the clock.
I looked at everybody that has dolphin installed and most were just under construction sites and one a site i would not even go into with just a handful of users.

I am running all kinds of adds for my site including ads on google and yahoo and I can't afford this kind of mishap.

Thank for you input.

Which mod did you purchase from "Boonex" ??

Also, I am sure you made a backup as the instructions stated. So reverting back to your previous state should not be a problem ?

I am sure since you posted , this is not the case, so lets see what can be done to fix it.

if you have the mod, and want us to look at it or re-integrate it we can do that for you.
(if you have the mod, we probably can do it free of charge to just get you running) let me know.

CyberXing, I did make full backup of the computer and also a separate full backup of the database. I rather not revert back but go forward with the fix. Don't want to go over it again.

I purchased the entire package known as the SmarProPack. Igor has been a great support person at BoonEx.

Thank you for your offer. I will wait for BoonEx to respond and if not I would take you up on the offer.

If you purchased the SmartPro Pack, then they would do the upgrades for you.

You just need to schedule it with them.

Hello Myboonex (thank you for this nick :) and all of you, guys.

The problem you're discussing here actually was caused by a small inattention of me when I was creating the upgrade page. I didn't indicate that the SmartPro customers should use a different upgrade package which they can find in their Unity accounts.

I have made the corrections, but here's the link again:
http://www.boonex.com/unity/id/smartpropack

This patch already contains eCards. And in spite of what you said, Nucca, eCards is a BoonEx mod. But you're right that BoonEx doesn't support or very restrictedly supports mods from third parties.

But let's get back to the problem. As CyberXing offers, you should restore your backup, Myboonex! And then you should apply the correct patch. This can't be considered "reversion". It's rather like "restoring the last working configuration" in Windows :)

If you have any questions I'm always willing to help.

igor and all I found Igor's prior RSS feed from my backup and it works now. it was in the file inc>design.inc.php line 1296

<?= htmlspecialchars_adv( $oItem -> description ) ?>

replaced it with your prior fix of

<?= //htmlspecialchars_adv( $oItem -> description ) ?>
<?= ( $oItem -> description ) ?>

and now my RSS formats properly.

Good luck all...

I still have problem with Admin screen showing error lines when i go into the forum screen.

Hello Jonah (Hyefinder).

I have checked your Orca admin panel.
I had to delete the file "params.conf" from "orca/log". This file gets created during script run-time, and its permissions don't allow to change it after you upgrade your version.

Rolbuman, in your case you need to make sure that the folder "tmpl_chr" really exists in the "templates" folder.
