Dolphin 6.1RC + Ray 3.5RC Combo!

Getting closer to the release stage! It's amazing how much progress each pre-release version makes, and, today, we show you the Mighty, the Incredible and the Super... Pages Builder! Not like we didn't have one, but now it's a lot more powerful and it actually changes the overall Dolphin experience.

Now, you're not limited to just two site width options. Instead, you can set any width for your site or individual page types. And, it can be anything from the mere 760px up to stretchy 100% width! And, you do it with Dolphin style!

On top of that - you can now create your own pages! (should I have added more exclamation marks in this post?) Read it again. And again. And now.. once again :) Create your own pages and launch them within your Dolphin-based community adding all the blocks you see in standard pages builders. When you think about it - it's a huge starting point for an imagination workout... How about, say, adding a small Amazon-powered mini-store with RSS from one of your forum threads, news-line and a custom block with a little bit of your talented marketing blurb text. Sounds cool!

Now the builder gives you really tight control over page columns, properly warning you when you narrow things down a bit too aggressively. And don't forget that all changes are instant (albeit there's a "Restore" link for overly-too-joyful souls) and what you see is what your members get ;)

New Comments

.. in other words - GREAT new comments. Now it has the totally coolest comments system available in any community script out there. With multi-step nesting, voting, delayed editing and deleting, all AJAXish and sleeeeek! Don't underestimate comments - this is where 50% of the community life goes. And now they're better than ever.

And...

We almost always have that "and...". Now it's a new homepage promo, which is now not Flash-based, but a JS-based script that lets you load large pictures, resizes them according to your homepage width and rotates them smoothly. No more problems with squeezing your lengthy "Aloha" into the message box. Just prepare a set of nice images - and enjoy the party.

Oh, and tags are now SEO-friendly. And a bunch of bugs have been kissed a sweet goodbye.
