Dolphin Mod's On expertzzz.com

I like dolphin, but honestly.... they need a lot more to catch up to the other
social network programs.
Boonex.com in their ad says " Match, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr, Odeo
and Facebook combined" I agree that it has some features
that the other social networks have, the only difference is that
you need to purchase mod's at expertzzz.com in order to make
it a more functional social network site..
For example: the other social networks have more features
for members like privacy levels, photo albums, css/html, etc....

To conclude:
Dolphin is free, love admin panel and easy to work with
The only thing is I am not going to pay for extra mod's
when I think that dolphin should be a more
functional social network... I will stay with Dolphin, and believe
me, if they had the same options as phpFOX and Social Engine
I wouldn't hesitate to pay more then 1000 for dolphin :)

maybe the others had a head start over Dolphin, and the others are business Dolphin is open source. and only makes enough to keep ticking over.
unlike the others that can afford to pay for vast amounts of coders full time.

Sammie is correct. Those are commercially developed applications that have loads of VC money behind them. Most open source applications are not going to be quite as refined or bug free. However, if you have the desire, you can create your own modules, or customize your own implementation because you have access to the source and the community.

If you want a real full blown social networking site at a caliber of youtube, myspace, and so on, then I hope you have a lot of cash, because development isn't cheap.

Yes, but coders and templates builders charge to much for simple mod's some even take advantage of others... I do understand that dolphin is a open source so is phpfox and has more options for users.. Don't tget me wrong, I do like Dolphin, just wish it had more options, and not have to go to expertzzz and pay more dollars for simple mods...
I do my own templates, had to learn.. Now I am
taking php, xml, javascript = (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)

I would encourage everyone to create an account on "elance", I think it costs $5 but they refund that after a short period of time. It is free to post a project and you don't have to choose a winning bid. Why you ask? Because it's fun to post a projects on there and see what people bid.. for a "myspace clone" most people will bid between $5000 and $20,000.. makes a $5 mod seem like a bargain eh?

How much do you think I could get for:
© <?php echo date("Y");?> mysite.com
$20,000 or so?

Don't want to proclaim we will be a facebook / linkedin / bebo replacement, however, we believe we will ad more value to the communities by doin what we are gonna do. SOOO....this is an open invite...we are gonna need all the help we can get.!! thanks. trohrer@loudhive.com

I´m also selling mods at expertzzz.com. Of course I can understand that others do not want to pay for mods. But I see it from another position. If everyone would programm some mods and share it with all the others that would be Ok, but that is not the way it is. All others profit from some people that spend a lot of time programming mods and giving support. So why not charge something, else I would probably only use the mod myself - why should I give it away for free to my competitors? If every one of you would do a mod and sell it you would have the money to buy other mods - and it would not cost you anything.
I hope you understand what I mean :)

Dolphin IS NOT FREE ... not if you want your own website.. it's only "free" IF YOU CREATE A WEBSITE FOR BOONEX with ALL their advertising, banners and footers included... It costs a LOT of money to get to use dolphin software as your own... As SrMeXiCaNo stated, you have to pay $998 to get use of every widget, Plus you have to go to expertzzz.com and pay loads and loads of cash to get decent mods for the software to make it function properly. Boonex gets a lot more than you think out of dolphin software, ranging way up in the millions... Believe me, they are not doing this for their health and "nothing is ever really 'free'".
