Letter to Boonex regarding applying the patch for the ad-free license.

Here is a letter to Boonex that I wrote about patch for ad-free license:

Hi there,

I am not that experienced with using patches, but I think I will be able to apply the patch for the ad-free license. If however, there is a problem which I can't solve, what support does Boonex offer? And I have to go as far as to reinstall dolphin, will I have to buy another ad-free license? I bought the ad-free license in good faith and feel that because I paid money, Boonex should offer additional support or allowances for any issues that I have with upgrading because of the fact that when I bought the license, I was not aware (as Boonex wasn't at that time) that I would have to do an additional patching of the software post license purchase. I want to know where I stand with all this before I go ahead with the upgrade.

Regards,
Nick

Hi Nick,
Don't worry - your license is good, and you can proceed - no need to re-purchase. If you feel that you cannot handle it you can also have support do this, but there will be the usual installation fee for doing the work. If you have problems you can also write to them for help - support@boonex.com. Just follow the steps outlined and be sure to back things up first.

nick,
this software is somewhat complex. this is no geocities site, and not everyone who owns a computer can handle running a site of this magnitude. if you are concerned about the money you spent pre-patch, then you were not very astute on reading about this software prior to making a purchase. there are a few things you have done wrong here, you purchased something you had not tested. you didnt participate in the forums or blogs of this software or you would have known there would be problems as soon as it was released. and you would have known the patch was coming. you could have opted to wait to download v6.1.1

i can understand your err to some degree, but you need to know what you are purchasing online prior to spending the money.

if you need help with your patch, hit me up, would be more than glad to see if i could help out.

later,
DosDawg
