No chat admin or moderators makes 6.1.1 a usless piece of crap

How on earth can you run a chat room and have no powers over its use? not only can you not appoint moderators, even as a site owner you cant kick anyone from the chat. thats a pathetic oversight from a so called professional team of script writers.

people are screaming out for more control like ip lookup and what do you come up with?

no control whatsoever.

site owner has no control in chat, an admin can suspend a user but cant kick them from chat, so has to take all the abuse until they leave.

how pathetic is that?

why oh why when it was pointed out 2 weeks ago, did you not include a fix with the update?

talk about shooting yourself in the foot. thats such a major error, you aimed for the head.

Rightly said sammie.
What i personally feel is that Boonex is trying to add those features to Dolphin, which we don't need that much, earlier than the most required ones. For instance, the groups in Dolphin are still the same with few features. Even after so many request from people, moderator and poll system has not been added to it. If you have a look over the groups at orkut, you can see that after the feature of moderator, they have also added co-owner feature. There are many other extra features like news feeds for groups. But our dolphin is still moving with the traditional groups.

The second example is that of Scrapbook. boonex had promised long time back at boonex.org that they will definately add Scrapbook to 6.1 , but they have not implemented it yet. We need such a feature to increase website activities.

There many other such examples which show that Dolphin is quite behind its aim. Though dolphin has so many features, site admin does not have complete control over them. If we want to remove a feature, we've to do that manually by editting the code which leads to various problems when we've to upgrade to new version of dolphin.
I would request boonex to first work on the main features like scrapbook n then add small features. Now dont say that mods are available at expertzzz. Thats not a complete solution. There is a plenty of difference between works of expertzzz n boonex team because the latter develops it keeping in mind the future dolphin and so it doesnt cause any problem during upgrade.
Please hear us boonex.

If you ban unwanted members from dolphin admin side...how can they enter your chat room?
Or you want to keep fakeonse so the real ones think there is "something for them"???
Just keep it clean and dedicated, ban all men and you will be good.

Hm, after imagining my self in that situation...maybe this is what I would try to do....go to admin/ plugin/ray/ a/vchat...disable it for few minutes...I asume all loged in members would get kicked out...
then if you wrote down who those male mebers are, justdelet their accounts... it they keep signing in, report tem to their account host...yahoo, gmail...
I assume if you disable then enable chat.. all users in the chat woudnt be able to stay in... once activated...the room would be empty and real users would join in...
another option....make 1 private room...no members can make chat rooms...and all approved females, would get private pass from you...

I agree, this was one of many oversights. The upgrade deleted all of my comments and more. Very unprofessional.

I posted this in the Ray forum and the Dolphin forums at Expertzzz... but didn't get any valid responses, so I'm reposting here to join the crowd...

Where did the Ray Chat Admin functionality go? The new 3.5 (I'm using paid, Ad-Free version), unless I've overlooked something doesn't have an Admin feature anymore.

Not having an Admin feature basically makes Ray chat unusable. This makes it impossible to monitor the room and ensure trouble makers don't roll in and verbally abuse people, or worse.

What did I pay for... something I can't use? There wasn't even any mention of this before I upgraded.

Has anybody actually heard from Boonex yet... what's the official word on this?

Thanks!

Danny
