Ray 3.1 HotFix Released!

A couple things...
1) How can I update the AV Chat license? The system took the Ray 3.0 license and I need to change it to the 3.1 license to have chat operational on the site.
2) What is pMusic Player? Unity doesn't seem to generate a license for that?
3) The system accepted all other 3.1 licenses initially, but upon relogging into the Admin panel, it says Presence, Video Recorder and Messager still need to be registered. Could that have something to do with the fact that I am not using the right 3.1 license for AV Chat?

that means profile music player is useless and can not be use, how was this over looked?
we need that stuff, you cant just forget something like that. it leaves you with a huge blank box on the profile pages and main page

I dont know if this is realistic or not, but any chance you can look at the way IM works, any way that you can get a alert in chat when someone sends you an IM, at the moment ppl miss the IM's as they arent looking at the main site.

I want license for my shoutbox. it is showing not registered. do something..

The unity yesterday showed two options in dropdown while generating Ray Licenses Ray3.0 and Ray 3.1

Now this option is gone and we are left with license keys for Ray3.0 which does not match with Ray3.1 software installed.

Please update unity so that it allows us to generate Ray3.1 licenses....

Sammie how come your licenses of ray 3.1 are still working ?

We have updated Unity in terms of licenses. So, no matter what version do you use you will get the one set of Free licenses for Ray Widgets.

We have experienced an error on our back end. And some licenses and their types were interpreted incorrectly. This was causing the error "Wrong License Number" on your sites. The problem is fixed.

Please check and update all your licenses (Free and AdFree as well) and report back in this post.

I upgraded to 6.0004 and noticed that the full screen video button was there, but blank & did nothing when clicked. I just applied the hotfix, now my video has no controls at all, no sound & it freezes after 5 seconds. I tried restoring to the modules provided with the 6.0004 patch, the videos controls came back - WITH the full screen button. Kinda odd actually.

In the Multi-Cam chat, when I attempt to enable my cam, it cams up for a split second & then back down again. It works in IM however. A few of my users have reported the same experience, others can use it fine. This is happening in both IE & Firefox.

At this point I've completely restored the ray modules to the ones provided with the 6.0004 Patch - Is this hotfix a priority? It seems to do more harm than good.

A side note on the multi-cam chat issue, I'm using the free RMS and have had this problem with both 6.0003 & .0004, it seems to be worse with .0004 though. Server is running FreeBSD 6.3-RC1 (PRO6) #1

I installed Dolphin+Ray two days ago,registered widgets and everything was OK, but today all my widgets became "NOT REGISTERED". I tried to generate new license numbers right now, but it's doesn't work anyway.. What should I do?

I've got license numbers for my widgets, but I didn't get it for Desktop, Music Player and pMusic Player. I can't use it!!! please, help!

Just installed 6.0.0.0004(update patch) I can't even access RAY or ORCA through the admin panel to change any settings add licences or anything - any ideas anyone?

i had all the widgets registered yesturday and now today their not registered im trying to register them again and it keeps telling me wrong licence number

I on the other hand, can see the ray/orca suite in my admin panel. I can even test the widgets fine in the suite via the admin button. Both unity and my ray suite say that the widgets are registered ... and yet when logging in as a user, it simply says "this widget is not registered" within the frame that the chat (for example) should be displayed.

i really hope we get a reply on this soon cause dolphin is usless with out the working widgets

As I stated above there was a problem which was fixed on our end. Licenses should work fine for you all now.

Several users has sent me PMs with their domain details and licenses. And their problem was in that they had installed AdFree version while applying Free licenses for this package which was wrong.

Please make sure you have the right package installed with the appropriate set of licenses.

But if you still experience the same problems please send me PM with all details. We will look into.

Ok I was dubious about the hotfix reading the above messages about things not working. However, I've just applied the hotfix and the chat loads fine (if a little slow) in IE, but still displays the "this widget is not registered" when accessed via Firefox.

why the hell would the ad free version of dolphin being offered for download if you can,t get the widgets to work with it without spending over $300 dollars to buy there licences does this mean i need to download and install the appropiate dolphin to get the widgets working....this user is not happy

I wonder if you are confusing free and ad-free. (They could definitely have worded the 2 versions better).

The version which is free for download is exactly that. It is free, but contains ads/banners for boonex etc.
The Ad-free version is ordered and paid for, not simply downloaded.

Likewise there are also 2 versions of Ray (free and ad-free). Same applies again.
BUT it is possible that the coding in that patch referred the ray to the paid version. Thus, the hotfix listed in this blog post will alter those files to work with the free version instead of the paid one.

Hope that helps, or at the very least highlights the issues of having the word 'free' in the name of both versions.

I have updated to Dolphin 6.0.0.0004. Now all of my test members are inactive. I have tried numerious times to activate their profiles just for them to say Modifications have been sucessfully applied however when logging in with that user profile Status is a "_".

I can create members email confirm and recieve already activated but it's like the database never updates all the correct fields....

so if i purchased a licence to make dolphin ad-free i guess the widgets still would not get registered being i will get wrong licence key with a ad-free dolphin that is completly bogus and needs to be thought out beter

Not as i understand it.
If you purchase an ad-free license for Dolphin. It means that the main community itself will have no ads.

Ray on the other hand, being a different entity is unaffected by that dolphin license.

If you are running the free version or Ray, make sure you generate the free licenses via unity and use those. If instead you buy the ad-free version of Ray, you will use the licenses provided for that version.

I have a very weird problem. It seems that every time I record a profile video, the video begins recording as soon as I push the record button, but the audio doesn't record until I actually say something. So the audio is always way ahead of the video. I'm using RMS installed on hostforweb. I didn't have this problem at all with ray 3.0. Any suggestions?

So I've actually had to go back to ray 3 until I get this resolved. Anyone free free to answer :)
