Some issues I need help with

Hey all,

Thanks for your help. I need to figure the following:

1. I have decided NOT to upgrade my 6.005 version yet (finally I got it up & running) but I want to upgrade only the Orca forums (both general & group forums) to the new Orca. Is there an elegant way todo so?

2. Is there a way for me to display another content in the promo_code area once the user has logged in? (like Hello message)

	from what i have seen with the updated orca, i wouldnt even attempt to just update the forums. there are so many functions that are not classes, not only in the script, but in the template source as well. so i would think it would be a sure disaster. if you need help upgrading 6.0 , just hit me up and we can discuss it. later, DosDawg

	Hey, thankg for your help... it does seem like a big mess (orca upg.) I mainly need it for as I understand that only the new version support other languages than English... Do you have any clue if I can change the lang in the old version?

	Try to install fresh fol 6.1, then backup your current orca (for example just renaming it) , and - copy in 6.005 your orca from 6.1 :) PS - don`t forget prepare orca at 6.1 (compile languages) PS2 - you must have at destination orca same permissions to folders and files possible using cp --preserve=all
