email formatting problems and no "from email"

I really can not figure this out and hopefully someone can help me. 
All email messages that are going out from Dolphin are formatted really strangely. On all emails you see this line on top, even if you use "text" instead of HTML code:

MIME-Version: 1.0 

From: =?UTF-8?B?QWVyb2UgSXNsYW5kIENvbW11bml0eQ==?= 

===============================================

Does anybody know how to get this code out and have emails just go as simple plain-text emails, nicely formatted?

Secondly, I would like ALL emails sending from the system go as TEXT emails only, no HTML emails whatsoever. How can I change that?

Thirdly, all emails sent from the system are received without the "from address" which of course causes spam-alert. Has anybody seen this and a fix for it? There is literally no from address in the emails.

I could be wrong, but I think that this info is coming from the file inc/utils.inc.php
Could you check this file ?

insert:
sql-mode=MYSQL40

in my.cnf or my.ini(windows) and restart the

mysql server

ask host for help if you do not have access to this file...

Turns out the sql-mode=MYSQL40 we already had established, so that couldn't be it. But thanks anyways, good thought though.

We got the MIME code out, that is fine now.

Problem is still that all emails that Dolphin sends are send without the "from email" field, that field is just empty without senders address.

Does anybody have a fix for this?

Michael, it was the inc/utils.inc.php file, you are the champ! Thanks so much.

Do you know by any chance how I can setup up Dolphin to only send TEXT notification emails, not HTML emails?
