Nice Post, I agree with you to some extent.

I have had no prior training in PHP/SQL or any internet related programming, but over the past year, I have learned alot.
When you say that the 21st century Webmasters arent programmers, I'd say I disagree.

Some people can understand and conceptualize coding, some can't. It does not mean every Webmaster is a coder, it just means not every webmaster is the same.

I would say BoonEx has lacked when it comes to Documentation, but when you look at the bigger picture, and look at aeDating compared to Dolphin, then you'd know what I mean.
BoonEx offers such a powerful product for FREE, yet people constantly complain its not 'easy' enough to understand.

If you cannot learn PHP or don't want to, you just wanna make a quick buck, then join the other million lazy people who would rather beg for an answer, then simply look it up or figure it out themselves.

You can PHP, you just don't want to, and thats what it comes down to.

Lazyness, i'm not five, im eighteen and it took me awhile to get an understanding of the basics, but thats what its all about.

Adapting to your enviroment.

I didn't know ANYTHING about Boonex or being a webmaster. Can I actually call myself that? Through the forums and blogs I have been able to pick up a lot in the last couple months. So, I'm glad to learn PHP. Anyway, I'm at the point where I don't want boonex support anymore unless they are the only ones I can get the info from. If you are running a business you should definitely pay for a webmaster. Boonex isn't like packaged software. For me, it's a full time hobby :) My site is free and helps people. All that said, boonex support is weak if you have a bad expert. Meaning, you are always relying on the same person for answers. That's a recipe for disaster. I've been trying to get a lifetime license installed. I remember having to remind boonex after two weeks to install what I paid for two months ago. So, there are definitely support problems. Like I said, I go elsewhere now unless I need them.

For the price of a liscence wether yearly or lifetime I would exspect better support And a good Manual or forget it. ! I will not pay for this rederic. I have been doing the internet since is was created. And Still have trouble following all the different gigo on here. There are some that do give he correct information and then some that just talk to hear themsel'ves.

Osdate is easier than this. Don't get me wrong I like the style of the products just not to lack of support.

When i read this post i was very surprised at the way you complain, i thought it was us British that were good at complaining :) You joined us on BDSM-life.com when we started our site back in January this year then decided you could do a better job than us and left to set your site up and we wish you luck.

We told you while you were a member of our site that to run a site using this Fantastic software took a certain amount of knowledge and experience and that you certainly needed a basic understanding of php, and running and maintaining a server and mail server to run it, something after reading your post you seem to have forgotten.

Web masters are still the technical brains behind any website and certainly the web masters i know are skilled in the basics at least, myself and my wife understand the basics and more and we find the software so easy to understand ourselves. This forum is so full of information and everyone here expects people installing and using this software to at least have a basic understanding of how it works and be willing to learn from others here and as long as you do, people will only be to happy to help you.

A lot of people that offer help here haven't got the time to hold someones hand and be their mother and as "Nucca" said and i quote

If you want help here then i certainly wouldn't have posted a post such as this. All i see in the post is your assumptions of other people and not the truths that i have seen here for a start. Everyone we have spoken to on this site have only been to happy to help us, but then we understand as you say "the one-line US-communication style?" and with all your experience and knowledge that you claim you have on the Internet, then i would have expected you to have been able to understand the basics at least ;)
