Upgrade Saga

Ok, so in the continuing saga of my upgrade, I've managed to resolve most of the issues with this upgrade. I've spent WAY too much time and evergy on it, but let's not discuss that now. I still have what I would hope the last two issues remaining:

1) Videos/Images/Music links generate 404's. See for yourself at www.masonicplanet.com . I assume this has to do with the media locations being changed in the new version and the upgrade script not fixing that for some reason.

2) In ray the chat module won't register with the generated code. Yes, just the chat module, yes it's the correct (free) version, yes I've set the permisssions.

Allright it looks like the problem with the 404's is that the mod_rewrite isn't working properly, but I know it's installed and working, since I've tested with different software. Suggestions?

Download and check your .htaccess file, proberly it's empty.
All install with 6.1 Alpa-Beta etc. my .htaccess file has been emty of some reason.

Ok, all is well. .Htacess was from the old site, and the new file was generating 500's. Fixed the apache config file to interpret PHP through the PHP5 processor and all is well in MasonicPlanet Land.
