We got Rulez around here...

its taken a long time to get here, lets hope this now solves most of the problems with trying to find the info needed and get rid of the spam.

Rules are good, yes but some people seem to get a little worked up over it. I mean my word it's just a forum and blog.

I do try to post when I need help in the forums, but if there is someone that posted to the blogs seeking help that didn't follow the "quote rules" will I answer if I can...yes.

Should it be in the forums...yes.

But my word it's not as big of a deal as some of folks make it out with the negative comments.

They want positive they claim for themselves, but if some new member that don't know the ropes posts here in the blogs let's cut them down and post some negative feedback on them then.

It's the way it is I guess, but sometimes some new folks do deserve the benefit of the doubt. Don't rip on them off the bat when they are new. Afterall they could be potential $ customers you never know.

your post is noted. i think the larger problem is that constructive criticism is being misconstrued as being negative. gameutopia, with any structure there is rules, and if you dont know the rules, you should read them. i think most have become so complacent with not reading the rules of forums and blogs that since boonex does not throw them up in your face when you are registering, then they just get ignored.

it is frustrating to have to see that the same posts are in the blogs, where in all actuality they dont belong, and where my approach my be crass, it gets the point across. glazing it with sugar, only leads to the next person to follow the same steps. if th forum is where we are posting questions regarding the operation/installation/modifications of the script, then it needs to be enforced. otherwise, you are going to end up with the same wreck we had before boonex spent all this time updating this site, in having the same information scattered across several pages and locations.

if they are posting technical questions on the blog, then they should be directed to the forum, because i can almost garauntee you that if they post in the blog, they are going to go right over and post on the forum the same question. so at some point it has to be stated this is not what the structure is setup for.

if any find that offensive, then my rebuttal is that i find it offensive they have total disregard for the forum/blog rules.
obide by the rules, the help will come that is needed, from one central location, and in a time fashion.

Hey dude I am all for rules, but when some of these folks are new and not sure how this system works and boonex lacks responding to their emails, after they just paid them $1000, I do understand and expect a few technical questions to appear hear in the blogs. Just seems your so quick to cut them down for some reason.

Would I rather see them in the forums? Yes. Will I crap on them an cut them down...I'll try not. I will answer when I can and possibly point them to the forums.

There has already been a few blogs requesting support since this post that should be in the forums.

I don't like to flame and leave negative, only time I do is when I accidently click the wrong thumb!!

A large number of these folks are totally new to dolphin some have spent a few hundred some around a thousand. Sure they should be in the forums but if I spent a $1000 and boonex wasn't answering and the folks posting replys were crapping on me I'd be a little ticked.

Maybe the free bee's I can understand but who know's what they are running.

I just answer what I can and offer input and point someone in the right direction.

Just wondering if you created this site and software if you would be so negative. Look at ol' cyberx up there, I've recommended them on several occassions, here and elsewhere with no involvement or interest in the company. Yet I don't see them/cyberx cleaning the neighborhood...why because they actually want and need customers and keep and open mind. If they flame them, cut them down, and piss them off...=no customers.

I do like to see someone taking charge, better you than me.

I'd understand if you were ripped off a few like some I've talked to or something.

Anyway, No worrys...Not after strike'n you out or anything. I'm sure your bank is much bigger than mine is, and it would be relatively tough to break!! JK!! Take it EZ this is just a blog and forum site right everyone!! It should me fun and helpful!

you are right gameutopia that some would only look at this as if it were potential money. yes those who have paid and are getting no response from boonex, there should actually be a forum threaded for smart pro purchasers (maybe there is and i didnt read it), but to post in here and post on expertzzz and post on boonex nerd, and basically just post where ever the mouse will and, doesnt help them get an answer.

i have read many times where a person would say they have asked their question 20 times, only to do a search and see they have two posts, the question, which was 6 weeks ago, and the one stating they have asked the same question 20 times. maybe the question was asked 20 times, but was not in the appropriate topic or thread of the forum. its not that i am flaming, i just want them to understand that rules are written to be followed, if they choose not to read the rules, then i personally would not help them. if you are so self centered that you are not going to read the rules of how something works or operates, then you are clearly not going to dedicate the time necessary to learn to run this script.

to run a site of this magnitude, requires extreme dedication to detail, one small detour, and you could derail the site. so its not that i want to harm the unknowing person, but i do know that once you login, the first thing that opens was the unity home, and there were three links in there, and one of those links said rules, that was obviously ignored. so if you are going to ignore the rules, then you can stand at the back of the line.

if they are in fact purchasers of the smart pro pack, which i didnt see a post of that sort, but that is totally something that should be discussed in the forum, if it were a forum issue. now if you were going to post your disgust with boonex and the customer support that you have been afforded, that is what the blog is for, but to ask a technical question, i dont see where it should be forgiven.

the most absurd thing is that now there is a splash screen up, that does an overview of the rules when you initiate a blog post, and there are still people posting in incorrectly. you are right gameutopia, they dont know, thats why there are rules, a splash screen in your face, that tells you what the deal is, and you opt to ignore that. and you think somebody with this type of understanding is actually going to be able to run this script. i dont think so.

as for taking charge game, its not that i am taking charge, i just want everybody to have a fair shake at finding the information they are looking for. if we can get all of our posts in a centralized area, we stand a better chance of helping those with issues with the script.

matter of fact, dont have a bank, i use the ebt system (welfare). jk

fun and helpful it is indeed. but there needs to be ground rules, and those rules are lain, and should be adhered to.

Honestly I do hope you can move them to the forums, but there will always be someone new that is just going to post where ever. You can ban them, suspend them, do whatever...unless they are really causing trouble or abuse it's not really the best sollution.

I have to agree with you 100%

BOONEX used to run off of WORDPRESS and let me tell yah .. it was so much easier to pay attention and respond to users then this system that we have now where there is blogs and forums and god knows what else where we can post :)

it will always be where if we dont get help on the forums we will ask in the blogs and VICE-VERSA so no matter how much RULES ARE IN AFFECT as long as the blogs are are here you will have all users posting everywhere to get help

thats a fact and it wont change until you get rid of the blogs completly or change this whole system ...

Look when DOLPHIN users were using wordpress we knew where to look and it went by date and it was much easier catching up to users and comments and alot more better on the eyes ..

this SYSTEM now who ever thought of it has made this into a ZOO cause nobody knows nothing any more unless you look around for hours to find it ...
comon we need something better then this and trust me we wont get far with this new SYSTEM at all ...

I feel LOST when ever coming onto this ..let alone thousand of other users who feel like me and ive been with dolphin for almost 2 years !
