"6.0-To-6.1" Upgrade pack and Dolphin 6.1.1, Ray 3.5.1 Patches Released!

First, the long-awaited "6.0-To-6.1" Upgrade Pack is finally released. Feel free to upgrade your site, raise it to a higher level and boost your community with these new cool features. We are sure you'll want to take full advantage of this upgrade, so we warn you to please keep in mind this note before doing the upgrade:

Dolphin is now completely search-engine friendly. All content pages have friendly URLs, which dramatically improves your chances of becoming indexed by major search engines. This is a major improvement and should improve your traffic. Be careful with this one - Google may think that too many URLs have changed and may actually penalize your current site. So, we recommend putting permanent redirects from old URLs to the new ones to avoid problems. This may be shaky after the update, but in the long-term, or for a new setup - the new links bring a tremendous advantage.

Second, as was previously announced, the first Dolphin 6.1.1 and Ray 3.5.1 Patches are released! We have made the corrections to Dolphin footer and Ray widgets regarding links removal. It is strongly recommended that you apply this patch. Along with these corrections we brought a set of bug fixes in Dolphin, Ray and Orca.

"SmartPro Upgrade (from 1.0.0005 to 2.0.1)" This is the link for upgrade from 6.0.0005 to 6.1.1 using SmartPro?, and can you chek the link please, because i'm trying to download but I get a empty file, thaks.

Hmmm...I have to reinstall my Ray Server and overwrite many files I have made LOTS of changes to ??

"general.css" for example...

I think I will let some other people do this first and report back. It is not clear by the initial post if it even removes the hidden boonie links (the circle with triangle in it at the top left of all Ray modules) as well as the video player and the music player, the Boonex banner that appears when you hit the Help button in Chat, etc...

You would think you could just replace some SWF files and be done...I don't have any footer problems.

UPDATE:

I did exactly what I wrote above and just replaced the SWF files. I think I am good to go now :)

That was way easy and only took a couple of painless minutes !!

As far as I can tell, I am completely link free...If anyone can find any hidden boonies, please let me know.

Wonderful work on the dolphin upgrade...I think it is 10 times better than before, ...I hope this patch will take off the 'GO TO BOONEX HOME' link on the ray widgets.After we pay for the widgets it is very unfair to have a link that reveals the source of the script.If this patch does not do that ..Please give us back the old logoless Ray widgets..Thank you

I have upgraded to 6.1.1.

Problem:
I removed both 'Polls' and 'Boards' from homepage navigation menu, they show such in 'Pages Builder' Unfortunately they are showing on the homepage menu and elsewhere. How do I fix this?

'Polls' & 'Boards' was removed before the 6.1.1 upgrade and worked fine.

I went into Pages Builders and I put the poll file into the active section. I checked my site and then i went back into admin and removed polls. That seemed to fix it.

My Bin directory is: usr/lib/php i.e. no /local/ folder

This is not a problem I had before the upgrade to 6.1.1

any help greatly appreciated.

Prior to patch:
IM sitting on connection screen forever (chat,etc. worked fine.)

After patch:
IM still not connecting, and now my chat is doing the same thing!

Can someone please help??

I had this problem upgrading:

(the same Warning 7 more times)

MySQL Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 23. OK

I have many mods in 6.0005 and it will take a few days to reinstall in 6.1 and test. So I would like to do a "practice upgrade" to a copy of the site using a snapshot of the database, then re-install my mods in 6.1. When tested, I need to shut down current site, reload database from 6.0005 site to 6.1 site, upgrade database, and make 6.1 site the live site.

But it looks like the upgrade script can only be run once. I need an "import" utility to pull 6.0005 database into 6.1 database after 6.1 site has all mods installed.

I would think my case is common. Is there a better approach?

6.1 patch....... causes a problem. ok so i done everything right... then i went to nav manager... i didnt want music in the menu, so i went to uncheck it for guest and member. but it was already unchecked but still showing on page. so i thought check the boxes see what happens.... i wish i hadn't... its messed the menu up... its gone way to the top of page, and most menu items missing.. please help

I did upgrade from SmartPro Upgrade (from 1.0.0005 to 2.0.1) because I have not done any yet but now I got this error...was it wrong upgrade ?

i found 1 boonie :( Video Uploader still have link to boonex.com home page :( its not bug... This boonie is still not removed after adfree pach :(

I mentioned this in a seperate blog, but I'm not sure Boonex has seen it yet, and its a bug that is still in 6.1.1. Its been tested and confirmed by severa of us, with fresh installs.

You cannot have more than one join page. As soon as you set any fields to additional pages in the join process you run in to problems.

I doesn't setup the account properly. It seems like it's not passing all the data from page to page.

There are several of us that can't upgrade 'til this is corrected.

Does anyone else find Boonex's site confusing to navigate?! in the top message it says go to Download pages to download the upgrade, where the heck is the download page?! why dont they hyperlink Download here to bring us there or why not put the link to download the file in the email they send us instead of sending us to www.Booonex.com which is a dead page?

Also someone answer that phpBB3 question above me please!!!
