Hmmm...I have to reinstall my Ray Server and overwrite many files I have made LOTS of changes to ??

I think I will let some other people do this first and report back. It is not clear by the initial post if it even removes the hidden boonie links (the circle with triangle in it at the top left of all Ray modules) as well as the video player and the music player, the Boonex banner that appears when you hit the Help button in Chat, etc...

You would think you could just replace some SWF files and be done...I don't have any footer problems.

I did exactly what I wrote above and just replaced the SWF files. I think I am good to go now :)

That was way easy and only took a couple of painless minutes !!

As far as I can tell, I am completely link free...If anyone can find any hidden boonies, please let me know.

Wonderful work on the dolphin upgrade...I think it is 10 times better than before, ...I hope this patch will take off the 'GO TO BOONEX HOME' link on the ray widgets.After we pay for the widgets it is very unfair to have a link that reveals the source of the script.If this patch does not do that ..Please give us back the old logoless Ray widgets..Thank you

I have upgraded to 6.1.1.

Problem:
I removed both 'Polls' and 'Boards' from homepage navigation menu, they show such in 'Pages Builder' Unfortunately they are showing on the homepage menu and elsewhere. How do I fix this?

'Polls' & 'Boards' was removed before the 6.1.1 upgrade and worked fine.

I have the same problem as Stuart038 mentioned above...:(

I went into Pages Builders and I put the poll file into the active section. I checked my site and then i went back into admin and removed polls. That seemed to fix it.

After patch:
IM still not connecting, and now my chat is doing the same thing!

I have many mods in 6.0005 and it will take a few days to reinstall in 6.1 and test. So I would like to do a "practice upgrade" to a copy of the site using a snapshot of the database, then re-install my mods in 6.1. When tested, I need to shut down current site, reload database from 6.0005 site to 6.1 site, upgrade database, and make 6.1 site the live site.

But it looks like the upgrade script can only be run once. I need an "import" utility to pull 6.0005 database into 6.1 database after 6.1 site has all mods installed.

I would think my case is common. Is there a better approach?

6.1 patch....... causes a problem. ok so i done everything right... then i went to nav manager... i didnt want music in the menu, so i went to uncheck it for guest and member. but it was already unchecked but still showing on page. so i thought check the boxes see what happens.... i wish i hadn't... its messed the menu up... its gone way to the top of page, and most menu items missing.. please help

I mentioned this in a seperate blog, but I'm not sure Boonex has seen it yet, and its a bug that is still in 6.1.1. Its been tested and confirmed by severa of us, with fresh installs.

You cannot have more than one join page. As soon as you set any fields to additional pages in the join process you run in to problems.

I doesn't setup the account properly. It seems like it's not passing all the data from page to page.

There are several of us that can't upgrade 'til this is corrected.

I think you have a great product, with a caveat. Why isn't there any instructions on the download page to choose Ray ad-free vs. Ray free, people are just left to guess which one to download. Now after doing three installs and populating the sites, we find out we can't register any Ray Suite products as they are ad-free and all need to be registered (paid). This is incredibly frustrating and in all the programs I have installed on our server, this has to be the most frustrating ever. The permissions was beyond reasonable in itself during install, Oscommerce, ZenCart, heck, not even linux on a fresh box required as much work. Now we have to start over again? Or is there another solution.

While we want to buy some mods for the site, we didn't have to expect to be told licenses were wrong that were issued in boonex admin but won't take in the actual login....

my profile page music doesn't load after upgrading to 6..1.1, when i go to admin ray and template get error: your mp3/skins folder is empty, but check mp3/skins folder and player swf file is there.

Ok, Couple of things, overall excellent site, couple of bugs:

1: Events dont work properly under IE7, page doesnt display.

2: Freindly links, I had to turn these off with hostforweb, despite them being certified by boonex the dont work for me, can anyone help?

3: News, Dont display properly, you get the snippet but when you click on it you dont get the full story, anyone else have this issue?

Ive raised all these with boonex support and Im sure they will come back to me, but posted just so everyone else is aware.

Boonex, you missed a link removal from Ray, so far they have all disappeared in my 3.5.1 patch install, except, when I go to upload a video, there in the upper left hand corner is the Goto Boonex homepage button/link.

I do not see the remnants of that link from the upload music box. Did I miss a file upload or do you forget the video upload box? Thanks.

I have 3 questions.

1. I had to disable ,htaccess to install the upgraded from 6.1. after completing the installation I enabled htaccess back and it gave me server error 500 so i when back and disabled the file for now.. should i be worried about this file.???

2. strange characters are visible in orca forum and next to block titles example " _name of block" there seem to be a underscore next to block titles and same in teh orca forums.. i think this was posted by someone else which cant find.. is there a solution for this problem?

3. according to the upgrad the software upgraded successfully but i did notice a few warrnings regarding databse. unfortunatly i didnt document the error messages.. any one else experienced this?

upgrade to 6.1.1 Ad-Free version and have few problem:
1) still small round boonex logo all over Ray media player on top left corner
2) page profile music keep on connecting and nothing happen
3)when click on help in Audio/Video chat take me to boonex website.
i paid for all of them to be adfree and still get all links to boonex.what is the matter and how can i get rid of all these problem as my website is half runnig with over 1800 members.

another problem after upgarding to 6.1.1, in all picture and video view it says :_x_hour_ago instead of saying how many hours or day ago as it was showing before upgrading.
