"No comment" problems

Hey guys,

First: I'm so freaked out, so please do not expect me being more easy on these problems.

There are a lots of problems about Dolphin, Orca, and Ray.

Dolphin

1. Shipping in zip

You know "tar"? Tar can handle permissions. Zip CAN'T. The first f*cking problem is permissions... You know what I mean? Manually adjust file permissions on 70 files? Okay, I wrote a script for it...

2. Translation issues

Many, many errors in sql, in the strings, the keys. Much-much wired words and expressions in the php code.

3. _in_x_days {0} {1} ....

No howto, no default values, nothing. What do you expect? Okay, I searched the Unity, and I found traces of solution in a post, as a "maybe". LOL. What can I say?

4. Profile fields

In Firefox, the Fields builder extremely slow. Almost unusable. After a modification, join.php gives "database query error". I have to search through the messy php code, and I found the db_cache. Okay, NEW_ITEM is not exactly the field we added. But okay,
shit happens. Let's move on! I deleted the NEW_ITEM field from sql, and made a little change in the order of the fields to get the cache saved again.

I can't possibly learn how to use this illogic way of treating Profile fields, boxes, and navigation.

5. Convert stuff

We bought the old dolphin. We buy the fresh one. Can you help us convert the database? Yes! For extra cost. Are you insane?

6. S-L-O-W!

The entire site is slow. Other dolphins are slow, too. Your boonex.com is slow. This Unity site is slow. Madness!

7. Different third party stuff

See registration. You are using a js calendar, that doesn't respect the date format I gave it.

At the events manager, you use another dhtml calendar, which I know and I like. But in your software, this calendar works sh*t. I can't expect much, really. Just a convention about many things, includes the calendars, too!

8. URL -s to old links

- inbox.php

- cc.php

I made rewrite rules to avoid the problem. This is absolutely ridiculous. Have you ever tried your own software even once ?

9. Site Stats

Correct admin site to control Site Stats? No. Nothing.

The polls count in site stats counts the user polls, but the link next to it is referring to the admin polls. He?? I've to delete it from the Site Stat...

10. I can't find many tweakable settings at the admin.

Why? Just wondering...

11. Edit language strings

The whole system is fulled with slow, f*cked up ajay queries. But I have to add and edit language strings in a popup window. Riciulous, again.

Orca

PLEASE! Check whether XSLT supported in php or not! Not just xsl. One can see a html mixed xml mess, if there is no xslt support. I can't express my anger about this.

Ray

1. WHERE CAN I find the phantom chat rooms? I truncated all of the chat room tables in sql, but the rooms are still there.

Where can I translate the welcome message (of Lobby) ? I couldn't find them in the xml's.

2. Movie module - UPLOAD and BROWSE button... We can't translate them. The btnUpload and btnBrowse are in the xml, but I think you wired these to words too...

3. Find me a chat software without an administration or moderation, in fact without any controlling area. What? Yes! You successfully created it.

I can't write down all of my problems, but this is enough for some time I guess....

I can understand that there are bugs in every software... but these are not just bugs... serious problems that make this software a junk.

Without programming knowledge I would failed with Dolphin 6.1 many, many times. Can I get half of our money back?

Please, immediately answer our questions (marked with bold), beacuse you drive us crazy.

You can be certain that we'll need help about many more problems soon, so let's help figure them out.
