changing currency code

how do i change the currency information to a

different country (Canada) on D7?

I have not been able to find information.

I would also like to know how I change the currency to GB £'s instead of euro or $.

In the meantime I have changed the currency from $'s to euro and it is still showing the $ symbol although I have added the code for the euro symbol.

Dear friends, i have changed currency code for myself and right now im just testing checking that does it work on the site or not? So i'll get back to u soon with detail. :-)

Right really sorry for delay in my reply regarding the currency code as system wasn't allowing me to post any more post. don't know why. may be have to upgrade. Any way you can change currency code as follow:

1- go to phpmyadmin

2- click on your dolphin database you created

3- look for table "sys_options".

4- in the sys_options table look for Name value "currency_code", edit it and enter your currency code e.g GBP and save it. now look for Name Value "currency_sign", edit it and enter "£" and save it.

5- Now navigate further in the same table and find Name value "pmt_default_currency_sign" and "pmt_default_currency_code" and change the values by editing them as above. make sure u save each one.

6- You are done. Now if u go to ur admin area -> module -> payments

you should see GBP and £ in payment setting area.

7- But make sure if u change the name of the £ icon in the folder from gpp to gbp.

you will find the icon as follow:

go to you folder location/dolphin7/modules/boonex/membership/templates/base/images/icons

here u'll find gpp.png so until you change the name to gbp.png it will not appear on the payment page.

No matter what I do PayPal always charge me in USD.

I have tried the above guidance, but still not successful. I want to maintain a dollar sign, AND I just want to add the MYR currency into the currencies list in payment module settings. MYR is Malaysia Ringgit.
