Assisted in upgrading my dolphin to 7.0.5 after agreeing to do it and restore my back up files for a small fee, I ended up uploading the files for him due to slow internet that was out of his control.... once the upgrade was done he didn't do a restore, and said it would be more money for him to restore from the backup he made... I ended up doing it myself. however I will still give him 3 stars because he did do the upgrade for me.

Vinayak did a great job with my site. Turn around time was super quick and down time was minimal. Communication 10/10. Also offers lifetime guarantee on his work so when I located a minor issue he resolved within the hour. Will definetly use him again.

Vinayak did a great job! He worked extremely hard for us for 1 month. He is reliable, dependable and a hard worker. He does his best to get the task done most of the time. I could not believe how fast vinayak worked after making contact, he was on to it straight away. He did alot of work with my site and i payed him extra as i believe he undercharged, thats how good i think he is and how he approaches his work. I will not use anyone else to fix errors on my site now, he done a fantastic job and i recommend using him as he offers a 5 star service.

Vinayak responded to my EOI for a template design for $300. (I had downloaded the default Dolphin site and paid the $99 licence to remove the Boonex logo, which left with the default template).

Vinayak claimed to have designed many websites, including http://promodonkey.com/community
I briefed him to design something of similar look and quality, and I emailed him a concept map (algorithm) of my site.
He quoted far more than my EOI price and said he would not work until 50% was paid up front.
He see more then changed his mind and agreed he would work with 25% up front.
I paid the 25%, but then Vinayak told me that I have to find a template and email it to him, that he "just does the skins".
I sent him a template that I found on Unity.
I then spent hours on skype as he said I had to be "working with him because it's easier".
I then paid 50% more ($400 all up)
But after I made the second payment, things changed and by 10 days I still didn't have a design anything like promodonkey or anything like a business website
Vinayak was showing me a home page that had code on it, and distorted elements
All during that 10 days, I had to spend 2-3 hours at a time on skype with him, and send him a lot of emails with screen dumps of mistakes to fix.
I had to send many folllow up emails because he would say "I will do that" and then not do it.
He showed me a website from the UK and asked if I wanted to use a similar database, and then he didn't copy the database, he used some other one, and then he accused me of changing my mind
He didn't look at the colour palette that my logo designer had made and which he had been mailed.
He put a green background on my site when the colour palette was purple/blue/grey
He couldn't make the template look the same quality as promo donkey, he only got the navigation bar done, nothing else.
When he got stuck, he put the site back to the default Dolphin template, and said "I think that looks professional".

By that time I had lost a client who was waiting to use the website.

All the things I have outlined here are verified in the skype records.

I have asked twice for money to be returned, but Vinayak has refused. He said he would ruin my system if I make a bad report. He accuses me of going to another programmer who is cheaper, but actually I have invested a further US$500 in template design with a new programmer, so it is not a case of going somewhere cheaper.

Vinayak does not take responsibilty for falsely selling his services in response to my EOI and for failing to delivery the product I paid him to do, and failing to return money when asked.

The skype record evidences that the situation with Vinayak was very stressful, so much so that I felt sick.

The case is that when work was almost done and i was still making changes depending what she asked she suddenly stopped working changed her ftp etc and after 1 month she just came back and asked money back.
why the gap of 1 month????
work was almost done and the things r now changed on her site as she asked so it seems she used other guy as she changed her mind.
i can show what she asked actually and how her site looks now.
she asked something diffirent and now her site looks like something diffirent.
so see more seems that she changed her mind and used other guy even i never refused to make changes she asked.
i never refused to make any changes or do works but she just changed her mind and used other guy and wants the money back for the work i done already.
thats the real case.
i also never said the i will ruin her system i just said she can do what she like and i will do what i like because she was trying to haresh me by saying that she will post bad feedback.
also the agreement was 25% payment after each 25% work done and i never asked her to make more then 25% payment it was her choice as she liked the work.all of sudden when her mind changed she started asking refunds even work was almost done and i was ready to make any changes she wants.

This guy provided best service to my site. Solved the business problem and logic with efficient config setups/coding. Used the Dolphin features to the best that saved time and money. Very professional and kept up the commitments. Deliverd ontime. I would give five stars and a Hi5 on completing my project requirement.

I have been meaning to write this review for sometime and have finally got around to it. After much deliberation i have decided to write a fair review on my opinion on the work i had done my vinayak. We agreed to do a piece of work for $500 i told him my requirement which he understood. This was to design a module that would display learning courses that my members could sell to each other. At this time i did not have a full understanding of how boonex worked but agreed to go with what he said. We see more agreed to trickle pay as work was completed.

I assumed that vinayak understood what i wanted and we continued. After a few days a php page appeared with the necessary fields for the courses to be sold. These were connected in the php my admin database with the necessary fields. My issue surrounding this was that nothing had been done in substance, but due to my lack of understanding i passed on another payment. Foolish on my behalf. After this i said that i had found another solution and didnt need any more work doing. He wouldnt refund the $250 second payment and would only offer more work. When i asked him to do little items around the site, he would only quote crazy prices. Typical of a an absolute chancer.

Continuing from here i realised that i could use UE30 events module to do most of what i required to list the courses and events but ignore taking payment on the system and let my members just put a buy now button on the listing.

Unfortunatly Vinayak just wanted to sell unecessary programming and also didnt do it to the requirements requested. After i made the second payment within 1hr i realised my mistake and realised i could have probably done what was required through the boonex ads module.

My understanding of whether vinayak is a good programmer is still out, but i has paid him a large amount of money for very little apparent work.

My understanding of php is now much better and on reflection of what he did has made a fool of me as he had done bugger all for the money. But to greatful it has made me very dubious of all programmer except the big names on boonex.

Finally i cannot completly knock him, but you must the follow the key rules:

Full Design of what you want listed
Specific down to every last detail of what you want
Ensure you have taken 3 quotes for the work
Open to the forums to makesure it cannot be done elsewhere or is not in existence

I will say 2* based on his communication as he is online through skype alot of the time and his English is very good. Not much else to say than to be very careful and specific about what you offer. I have worked with other programmers in the meantime and can say they have been better and work to a more honest level.

If anybody wants my full skype conversation i will be happy to supply.

if u asked something and agreed at a price and made upfront then work is started and when 50% work done and u say u want to cancel the project its not the programmers mistake
and u should not aspect refund when more then 50% work is done and u just paid 50%

it was my goodness that i offered u extra work and did my best to make u happy did everything i could do but u tried to recover all the money by getting more and more extra work done for free.
it is really not fair.
may be many see more ppl charge much cheaper but its your chopice to use cheap or costly ppl.

i charge $25 per hour many may charge 45 per hour but many ppl also charge $100 per hour so may be price seem crezy to u but these r not really.
hope this makes trhings clear
u paid 2 installments of 25% and 25% after 50% work was done

I must say, im glad its just not me. Like you he has done alot of work on my site and i have paid him alot of money.

As i am also new to dophin i just wanted things fixed if theres a problem and pay him. There was even one time where we agreed to a price he sent the invoice and i payed. My bad was i didnt read the invoice, the amount we discussed was apparently 50% and other half on completion. The reason i payed was that i had the feeling he was causing errors in order to get more work.

For see more instance when i installed a new module a page would appear saying "module not found" he charged $50 each time to fix. I recently was told its just a matter of un-ticking a bock in the permalinks area.

But like you said if you question him he gets hostile and rude, and if you have an alternative to what he suggested you get the crazy high prices.

My latest job i paid him for he didnt even complete, he said 2 days. I made contact to him 3-4 days later for progress update and his was response was "you should contact the developer" .....then why the heck did i pay you? there was no refund just i tried.

I left good feedback over 100 days ago for vinayak, but let me say

BE VERY CLEAR IN WHAT YOU WANT AND DISCUSS EVERYTHING IN AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE

its if u use non search engine friendly links then u can uncheck if u want to use search engine friendly links then its not just untick a box
wish u knew this

also there is no sortage of work so i would creat any issues. also if u pay to install a mod see more and error is in mod then mod developer shuld fix not the person to whom u r paying just for install

if u felt that i am creating issues in your site u shuld let me know i would do no more work for u
