Auto Approval of Members w/o email confirm

Photobucket

Well I didn't write this down in my notes....

I believe I had my site set up for members to be confirmed by email. But now it appears that when they lose their password, no email is sent out to them....

Where do I look to correct this?

Thanks all!

1. are there any other mails being sent out from your site. say if you click on invite a friend and put your email adress in do you get it.

2.  the other thing you could do is set up a test user with a password you know then go into the db profile table and change the user that lost there password to the test user password and have them rest it after they log in .

The emails seemed to be working at first....about a month ago.

But now, I just tested the invite a friend and that doesn't work either....

Ok   if i had to guess something is up with your mailserver.   you can try to set up another email address from your cpanel  after it is created and you know it works.    open    yoursite.com/inc/header.inc.php    and change your email address to the new one   save the file and try the invite a friend again.   not saying this is going to fix it  but worth a try.

Thanks for the response...

It appears to be something with the mailserver....

I created a emailtest.php to call it in a browser from my url AND it did NOT work.

So for about two days now...my host is looking into this. Very frustrating.
