Multi Blogger Mod Support (Modzzz) - part 2

Quote · 10 Mar 2016

Hi. I want this function :

AUTO BLOG CREATION
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Administrator has the ability to configure blogs so that when new members join the site, a blog is automatically created for them.

On this module:

https://www.boonex.com/m/Ultimate_Blogs

Both modules "Ultimate Blogs" and "Multi Blogger".  can interact?

Thanks.

@Spencer10893 - Ultimate Blogs and Multi-Blogger can run on the same site without conflict, however, you would have to give a different name to one of them as having two modules called "Blog" on the same site will cause some confusion.

Regarding Auto Creation, that is tricky for the Multi-Blogger as it requires some compulsory input such as Description and Category. What should be used for these compulsory entries ?

I was trying to upgrade your multi-blogger to version 2.0.4 and got this when running the update:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getOne() on a non-object in /var/www/httpdocs/sqlupdate.php on line 21

@geek_girl - It seems as if you are upgrading from the Dolphin 7.1 version of this module. In that case, you will have to make a fresh install. The reason for this is that the old version was using the URI as blogs but this was causing conflict with the default blogs module. In order to prevent such problem, the mod was completely redesigned using blogger as the URI instead.

I over wrote the 7.1 files with the current.  Oh well, hells bells.

If you wish, PM me the FTP login so I can take a look at the site. The file names are different for old and new versions of the mod so overwriting isn't possible.

Thanks, will do but will send them to your email address listed in the module.

Hi modzzz, i am just wondering when is it that you can resolve this issue. Please provide either geek_girl or i with a resolution, thanks!

Everyday is a new beginning.

Just installed on clean version of 7.3,

install goes fine, but when trying to post a blog I get this error message

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5000 bytes) in /home/website/plugins/intervention-image/Intervention/Image/Gd/Decoder.php on line 115

Any ideas?

Posting to all other modules is working fine.

@daihlo - The error is memory related, not coding. Are you trying to upload a large image with that blog ?

nope, a very small image...

Only getting the error when trying to upload an image within this module. All other image uploads are working fine.

Just tried with a 321kb image and got same error as below

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20000 bytes) in /home/website/plugins/intervention-image/Intervention/Image/Gd/Decoder.php on line 115

Strange issue this one. I can upload some images but not others!

Some of the images that dont load are smaller file sizes than the ones that do... all are jpg

Another issue with images in this module only...

On my home page I have latest blog box showing. The blogs show the image thumbnail along with snippet as they should.

When I go to blogs home page, the same block showing latest blogs, will not show the thumbnail. Only the snippet.

also on the same page, I have latest posts block. Again, no image shows, just the default dolphin one when no image is uploaded. These posts do have an image uploaded as it shows when viewing the post, but will not show in latest post block!.

Same thing on the recent posts page. No images show.

follow up - when an image is uploaded, it does not automatically be added as blog/post thumbnail. It gets uplaoded, but then have to edit blog/post and select thumbnail... not practical for 99% of users.

This 'fixes' the missing image on the blog post, these now show.

However, it still doesnt fix the missing image on blog when viewing blog home page or latest blog page (even though the image does show on the site main home page latest blog box!)

unless this page block on these particular pages is not meant to show the image??

@diahlo - The blog image is deliberately omitted from the main page entries due to the fact that they show in the smaller column. However I will add a patch so webmasters can enable/disable this option themselves in the module settings.

suggest to develop a Premium version, with new features:

post a new blog entry:

1. tag

create a tag pool. one click to add a tag. Much more simple.

2. "Location Of Blogger", "Photos", "Youtube Videos", "Videos", "Sounds", "Files"

default to be hided.

One click to show if need it.

Reason: user seldom need it.

3. "Privacy Settings"

A. Default To Be Hided. One Click To Show If Need It.

Reason: User Seldom Need It.

b. The setting can be saved.

If the user don't change the setting, the "privacy setting" will be the same as the last blog entry.

The icon "Add Blog"

This icon only need to be showed on this page:

http://domain.com/m/blogger/browse/my

User Seldom Use This Function. May be only one time in his life.

thanks a lot.

Hi,

This is multi- blogger is a stand alone module, I can even install the boonex build in blogs at the same time.

Is it correct?

thanks

Yes, it is independent of the default Blogs module so you can install both on the same site.
