Hi modzzzz... Please can you let me know when you can fix the levels problem with my version of this module that I have messaged you about many times now. It is one of the last remaining issues holding back my site.

Thanks,

You have deleted the levels and therefore they will not show. Go to the admin section and add them back (In Admin Panel =>Settings =>Predefined Values then select TutorialLevel)

Uploading the latest 2.0.3 version.

For me it says "Version 2.0.0" in Admin - Modules in "Uninstalled modules"

Was it uploaded incorrectly or is it a small bug?

Sorry to ask- I should know this by now-

DO we just upload tutorials directory and overwrite existing file to apply patches...

I JUST now installed 2.03 to a fresh install of 7.1 and then happened to notice 2.04 was the newest version.

thanks

Each patch has its separate instructions as to what change is needed. For patch 2.0.4, unzip the mod and see the patches/version_2.0.4 folder for exact instructions.

Hello,

using Chrome things are fine but I've noticed a problem when I use IE8. Version 8.0.6001.18702

First I enter a new tutorial and save. OK
Then I do my first edit of the tutorial and save. OK
When I go back to edit a second time then I don't see the first edit I did. I see the original version. Meaning that I have lost all the work from first edit and have to re do it.

Is this due to some local cache setting on my local IE8 or is it linked to the Mod?
It will piss off any user that has done a big change on their first edit. So it would be good if I could enter a warning or instruction on how to avoid this.

Thank you!

Hi Modzzz will there be any updates to this mod above 2.0.3 for dolphin 7.09?  Or will the updates in the patch folder for  dolphin 7.1 work for dolphin 7.09 as well? Just wondering since my site is still running on the dolphin 7.09 platform and I dont intend to upgrade to 7.1 at the moment.

Hello, can you tell me how the forum works part must create a category? a group? when I go to a tutorial and I click on "Forum" I can not on a 404.

Thank you for the details as given, even in the readme file there is nothing on it.

Incidentally it will be really good with "ultimate news" and that we can choose which forum we talk, celons article.

And as news, I try to delete the alphabet bar.

Regarding the Alphabet block, patches have been released for the News, Articles and Tutorials modules.

Regarding the forum issue, you are getting the error because you have not made the following change as stated in the readme.txt.

In .htaccess

   Find :

    RewriteRule ^forum/groups/(.*)$  modules/boonex/forum/$1?orca_integration=groups [QSA,L]

   Just above add :

    RewriteRule ^forum/tutorials/(.*)$  modules/boonex/forum/$1?orca_integration=tutorials [QSA,L]

Hello, when I create some tutorials I have a problem.

He tells me that I must have more than 20 characters, and there in the tutorials there are many, and when I say it is much longer.

Hi,

For the description the minimum character is 20 and the maximum is 64000. It seems as if you have exceeded the maximum. You can change these values in the code.

In modules/modzzz/tutorials/classes/BxTutorialsFormAdd.php

Find :

'params' => array(20,64000)

You can change the values as you wish.

Thank you for that answer, so after change 64000 by 6.4 million to test, it works can I registered my tutorials.

When I get on the page to see my tutorials and it has cut 64,000 cataracts, and when I returned to the HTML tutorials missing the end, as if it had not registered.

Hi, I just bought and installed the Tutorials mod.

Install, went fine.

How do we remove all mention of and access to forums  - we don't use them at this time.

The 'Info' box is much more info rich than the one in the Ultimate Articles mod. How do we make the content of that box similar to the Articles version - basically everything from 'downloads' to the end of the box is not needed.

Thanks,

Andrew.

I have modified the file according to your wishes and attached it here. Re-upload to the path : modules\modzzz\tutorials\templates\base

For the forum link in the menu on the view page, you can remove that by going to the navigational menu builder in the Admin panel.

How can we make the Tutorials mod work with PK Forums?

Is there something blindingly obvious I missed in the setup/config?

Thanks! Andrew.

19 Jan 2016

As far as I understand, PK Forums does not facilitate integration with third party modules. You can discuss more about it with the developers of that module. They should be able to provide you with some sort of timeline as to when they will roll out third party module integration functionality.

Ah, OK. I had read on the PK Forums thread in an old post that you were going to add integration with PK Forums to your mods. I was being hopeful...

In the forum thread it says that after PK Forum developers have sorted out integration with third party modules I will accommodate such integration for my modules.
