Videos are not seen on the wall

Hello friends


Let's see if you can help me get the videos on the wall. Thanks in advance.

My version of Dolphins is: 7.4.2
My version of PHP is: 7.3.12
The server is dedicated.
MySQL: 10.2.29-MariaDB
Database Engine: MyISAM
Web server: nginx / 1.16.1
OS: Linux 3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64 # 1 SMP Wed Apr 12 15:04:24 UTC 2017 x86_64

The point is that every time a member uploads a video or puts a YouTube video on the wall, the video is not seen on the wall. But if it is loaded and can be seen in your "Videos of the Wall" folder, if you have already created the "Videos of the Wall" album, it is loaded in the folder, and if you have not created the album, it is created automatically and you add the video uploaded or put on youtube.
But the video is not shown on the wall once it is uploaded.

I've been looking in the database (bx_wall_events) and I see with surprise the following
The videos that are uploaded to the wall and the videos of youtube that are put on the wall are, but without description, date, etc., and the most surprising thing is that in "hidden" it is in "1" when it is normal that this in "0"

You already know the urgency I have on this matter, so I do not understand how you have not responded to my messages.

I don't know if my site is a custom site. What I do know is that on this website I have invested my money and work in:
Zarconia Server (Official)
Boonex License (Official)
22 Modzzz modules (Official)
14 modules of AntonLV (Official)
05 more modules (also official)
200 hours of work

In total there are more than 1,100 US Dollars in modules + 1 Boonex License + 300 hours of work.

And the result is that 6 months later, I still have this problem.

It is not a good company policy to say that fixing custom sites "is not a support priority", when the client has a web boonex, boonex server, boonex license and boonex modules (all integrated and paid to boonex, directly or indirectly). That is very ugly, since it creates distrust of potential new customers. And surely future and current customers doubt about investing their money and work in Boonex.

I think it is a priority. I think that in the event of a problem like this or another similar one, it must be the developers of modules forced by Boonex to see if any module of yours is the cause of the error, if the server is from Boonex, you have to do everything possible to see if the Problem has been the result of server configuration. And if the affected module is from Boonex, Boonex has to look at why its module does not work well and if it is for another module, what it is and why it is the conflict. All this teamwork will make you a leading company, all of you will earn more money and prestige, as customers will see that their investment is safe, protected and serviced.

Both Boonex and the developers are the ones who have to ensure that everything works well and customers are happy and satisfied with the products we buy.

I have been working with Boonex products for 11 years, I have created more than 10 Social Networks and I have NEVER had as many problems as with the latter. I am one of their oldest active clients, I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on their licenses and modules, I have helped other people in what I could. I think I deserve a better deal from you and not ignore the mistakes that are not my fault.

All this I say in positive, that they know that every action has a reaction, that this work for me is not an entertainment, it is a means of work with which I try to live and eat and I also lose money if I do not give a good image.

Don't count Dolphin dead, it is going to be forked and continued.  The question is the third party developers may have decided to move elsewhere.  What I noticed is that they don't seem to be moving to UNA; go to una.io and visit the market and see.

Yes, I have compared UNA and Dolphins and that is why I have preferred to continue with Dolphins (although I know that it is already an obsolete product) because in UNA there are very few modules and applications and in Dolphins there is a greater and better assortment.

I will look in the database itself.  In the Dolphin Backend, nothing is shown as being hidden to the timeline or outline.  When I looked in the wall events table after uploading a video, that video was not added to the events table.

I noticed, but wanted to verify those values in the database just in case they are not getting highlighted.

They would not show up in the events table if they are hidden by that setting.

Probably should check the sys_albums table to make sure privacy for the album is set to 3 as well. A wrong privacy setting somewhere would explain some of the events that are in the events table containing that hidden flag.

Just grasping at straws here anyway.

These are some data so that errors and errors may have occurred:

When I bought third-party modules, version 7.4.2, many of them were not prepared for PHP 7.x and every time I uploaded a module, it "broke" the database, the module did not load, and the screen went blank and sometimes the screen went blank with a text that said that the data had not been loaded in the database correctly.


Some modules even if they had given the database error, were then installed and worked (apparently).
The first third-party module that gave me several of these errors was the "Spanish language module" of the developer "Patitaas". Then the developer gave me the "new module" already adapted to PHP7.x and reinstall.
The same thing that happened to me with the "Spanish module" has happened to me with 3 or 4 modules of Modzzz, 2 or 3 modules of AntonL (AQB) and a module for cookies, of "Denre", this module was modified 3 times because it always gave problems with the installation (it hit the database and did not load) and in the end it is not installed and thrown in the trash bin along with the money I paid for the module (time and money lost)

Personally, the module that I suspect most could create this situation is the "Spanish language module"

Other important information

At the beginning of me having this problem (5 months ago), I realized that in the "timeline module (Wall)" in the "Hide events from Timeline" and "Hide events from Outline" section there was no "Videos" .
This discovery, I told IgorL and he was in charge of fixing it. I don't know how he did it, but apparently it looks good.


But maybe he will "forget" to add something to the database.

This problem that I have and that has been produced by installing third-party modules purchased on the Boonex platform, demonstrates the level of professionalism and human sensitivity of the people with whom I have been treated. In this social network I have spent more than $ 2,000 between licenses, modules, modifications and others.


And all the developers to whom I have paid in advance for their modules and custom work, "wash their hands", ignore the problem and give a shit about my life and my business.


The same goes for Boonex, at first Mr. IgorL (who is a beautiful person and I have no reproach) took my problem seriously and told me that I was looking at it, but that I did not see the solution, in the end it has already I forgot about my case (or at least he hasn't told me anything about this problem again).


I would have expected more from Boonex, that the great masters such as AlexT or LeonidS would have taken this problem to try to solve it, even if it had only been "By Image", to support the developers and their product.

1.- That your cookie module, I had to load it 3 times because it gave problems when uploading the module, "in addition to not working on my website". Versions cnm_v1.2.0, cnm_v1.2.0a and cnm_v1.3.0

2.- That I have paid for something that does not work (for me) and I do not use it, therefore: Money and lost time.

I understand that it is my fault for buying Boonex modules from Official Boonex developers, if I did not buy Boonex modules from Official Boonex developers, I would not be guilty of anything and would have no problems and of course more money in my pocket

PS: Since you are so aware of what was the cause of your module not working with me, I think you should put in the description of your product a VERY BIG NOTE, warning that your product is not suitable for sites that have a Splash page of Abservetech and possibly others.

With this measure, you will save time and money to other people who may be in the same situation as me (Dolphins with Splash page from Abservetech)

3.- You gave me your email and you said: "I'll have a quick look but can't spent too much time on it."
4.- You sent me the "corrected" splash page.
5.- I installed it and it still didn't work.

Conclusion:
Yes after 3 modifications without working + receiving from the developer the "corrected" Splash page and still not working + "Notify" the developer saying: "I will take a quick look but I can not spend much time on it", as saying "I'm going to do you a favor, but don't touch my eggs anymore" = No desire to keep in touch with the developer and hire their products or services

I added support to your splash page and it's outputting the cookie notification in your splash page, however it never gets executed because the $(document).ready(function() never gets triggered. Since it's working on all pages except for the splash page, it means there is something wrong with the splash page.

 

As I mentioned in my readme file, contact your splash page developer for issues with your splash page. I can't afford to spent hours supporting someone else's modules.

 

There are many others who have the module installed, including with splash pages without any issues, but then again they also have a correct functioning wall. Have you actually tried to contact the splash page developer or won't they respond?
