Many times members will just stay on a site without actually doing anything or they will just leave the browser open without logging off and go about their business.
Idle members use up server resources due to the fact that a number of background processes are periodically triggered for all members that are logged in (for example, checking for new messages etc.).
This module will log off members that are not active after a predetermined length of time. The module works by initially showing a popup to warn members that they will be logged out when the inactive time is approaching. If no action is taken, then the module proceeds to logout the member.
The performance of the site is significantly improved when idle members are disconnected as more resources are available for users who are online and participating in site activities.
The Administrator configures the inactive time period allowed and also the time period before a warning popup is shown.

I'm very satisfied with this module and it does as advertised. The site will close down after a certain time set by admin. I've set it to 5 minutes for a warning, followed by a shutdown 1 minute later. It will be handy where computers are shared and you accidentally forget to log off.
