If D7 was truly modular, what you want to do would be a little easier. Everything is so intertwined in D7, that it is often difficult to change something that is seemingly simple in concept. One change leads to another, then another, then another.... until that simple change turns into a bad dream. Whether or not mp3 instead of sounds in the url, will make a noticeable difference in search results, is probably a question very few people can answer.... considering the fact that mp3 will appear see more at the end of the url in either case. Maybe http://searchenginewatch.com/ has some relevant info on the subject. It's only my opinion, but I think having to redo the code changes on every D7 upgrade, is enough of a deterrent to leave the code alone whenever possible.

And that is something I had to learn the hard way. The change should be simple but unfortunately what I want to do links to so many other parts of the site that I would eventually be redoing the entire script.(Which is pretty much what you just stated) I'm a bit disappointed because as you know, I was fired up about the progress that had been made. Set backs can be bone crushing. I'm just going to leave well enough alone until the site makes enough money to where we can just hire a really good professional see more developer. Until then, it is what it is.
