Add Play/Pause button

Hi,
Besides the groups module I have another module which is called artists.

Currently I've set so that once you visit the artist page a player starts automatically, that player is an embedded soundcloud player:
What I need is to add button on the website that enables or deactivates the automatic play overall.

(I'm aware of the lack info about this script but can show you how the player is built and how it works, just need someone at ease with php/js to code a script that will do the job)
