PRESENCE LAUNCHES IM WITH UNDEFINED

This is new

presence was working fine yesterday -I could load a chat with another online guest

Today, presence loads the chat - after about 5 seconds the IM drops to a blank field with "undefined" in the middle

Any ideas?
