Ok, i have some problem : some botton doesn't work, like the Join in, or when i try to edit profile info, or to compile the forum lang, when i click nothing happen...
Now, i use Safari, and i try to disable javascript.. and magic... the botton work, but all the rest no...
So i enable the javascript, all work , but not the botton....
What can be the problem ? Why if i disable javascrip some botton work ?
I hope somebody can help me...

I don't have any such problems. I can only suggest that you check and make sure your computer has the latest version of java installed.
I would also suggest other browsers like firefox to see if it is a problem that is affecting just the safari browser.

I use the MacosX 10.6.2, Safari 4.0.4 and Firefox 3.5.6 ... Also with firefox i have the some problem....
About java is the version 13.0.1 standard edition 6 ... i suppose (and hope) it's the last...

Ok, i understand is not the javascript the problem... but the "descriptionme" block give me a problem.
When i moved it to the inactive block all work good...
Otherwise when i click on the join in botton, also if i insert more to 20 caracters, nothing happen....
At the page " Edit profile", some problem, i move the descripiton block to inactive, and now the botton " save" work, but i get this error message at the top of the page :

Since when does Java have anything to do with JavaScript? JavaScript was developed by Netscape and is not based off of Java, but carries similar features to it, along with using its name during the "Java craze." Whether Java is installed, up-to-date or completely absent, JavaScript on web sites will continue to work. For example on the BeOS, we do not have a port of Java, but we do fine with Firefox 2 and its JavaScript support.

As for the OP's issue, I don't know what's causing it, honestly. Your issue being the description box and being more than twenty characters long do not show-up on my installation of Dolphin, though I am using Firefox 3.5.6 and not Safari.

Hi, about the 20 characters i know because one time i write just few word on the descrpiton box and when i try to join in apper one red "circle" where was write that...

your problem is exactly what the message says, and i think deano has posted on this in relation to the open_basedir being enabled on a server trying to run dolphin.
what control panel are you running? i ran into this same situation with DA, disabled open_basedir.
now its bitching about two things there, open_basedir and safemode. so make sure safe mode=OFF and then disable open_basedir. well three things curl_setopt.
i think if you disable open_basedir, you will be fine, and you may have to loosen the contraints on php-cgi which is what i would think you are running there?

I am having this problem as well and I know for a fact Safe mode is off and open_basedir is disabled in my PHP.ini. I have other sites running on the same VPS which I need for those to be off. |

Hi, i check with my Hosting, and now the open_basedit it's ok (have set something before...), check also the safe_mode and it's off...
but i still have this error message :

can you ask your host about whether or not they have this disabled or enabled. i cant tell if the script is bitching because its on or if that is an ERROR_ALL from the server.

well it appears you are making headway, you dont have near as many errors today as you did have;
Yes slow but forward... one by one and with time i will fix all 
So you think is from the server that error message... Ok i will spoke with him agian...
(may be at the end of all i can convince him to hosting dolphin site after all the experience him make with my site... eheh eh)

Ok, i find out the problem : was the descpitionme box .. that give me the problem. I change it in : builder>profil field> join form : i click it and in the general option i change it from HTMLTextArea to Text and this solve the problem !
