Im trying to upgrade 7.0.2 to 7.0.3 using the supplied upgrade patch.
Followed everything to the dot but when I get to step 3 - enter www.yoursite.com/upgrade
I just get a message saying upgrade failed.
Thats it, no reason why, no suggestions. Nada!
any ideas???

Anyone!?
Kinda stuck on 7.0.2 here!
Has anyone else used the update patch or did you all go through all the files manualy?
Was it worth it or did it cause problems...

We have used the upgrade path on couple of our sites and for our customers and it worked like a charm !!!
We never saw an error like - "upgrade failed". We saw some errors like - "update cannot be applied", which is easy to resolve..
Check your log files and see if there's some error like php version etc

thanks, will do.
Question for you, Im about to move to a new server, is it best to move first then upgrade or upgrade first then move or doesnt it make any difference?

Better to move first, then upgrade as that way you will catch any errors if any with the new host configuration etc

Its as you said, "update cannot be applied"
Im hesitant to upgrade now though as 1 - it gives errors before even upgraded and 2 - there are loads of posts on the forums about problems after its upgraded!...
At the moment, mines running well and it is a site I charge people to use so dont want to mess up their experience.
Is it really worth the upgrade at the moment or is it still needing work...

Try this:
5) Set "sys_tmp_version" config variable in "sys_options" table back to 7.0.2
It's upto you to decide if you want to upgrade or not...
You can try setting up a replicate site like "beta" and upgrade that and test if for a few days and then if things look good to you, promote that to the main site ... just my 2 cents !!!

To avoid "update cannot be applied" you should change the value in "sys_tmp_version" config variable in "sys_options" value to 7.0.2.
