Admin Issue

You can restore admin password by execution this query in your DB management system like phpMyAdmin:

TRUNCATE TABLE `Admins`;
INSERT INTO `Admins` VALUES ( 'admin', md5('dolphin'));

In this case your admin login will be admin and password - dolphin.

PS Don't leave any conact info in posts, use Unity mail for correspondence.

The "Admin Login" has been raised SO often in these forums but there doesn't seem to be a clear solution.
I have version 6.1.6 and cannot log in to Admin; I've used MD5 to patch the Admin password - and I've checked the HTACCESS files OK.
What happens is:
I go to Admin, enter login and password.
If I enter the wrong details then it tells me so.
If I enter the correct details then the login form is refreshed, empty - but no Admin interface is shown.
My other problem is with the CAPTCHA see more image.
Is there a definitive reason why no the image isn't displayed? If I put [my site]/simg/simg.php in the address bar then image data is displayed in ascii on the browser. However, if I go to the "Join" page the "x" placeholder is shown in place of the CAPTCHA.
Any ideas much appreciated.

I have dolphin 7 and have tried everything aswell but they do not work. I go to phpmyadmin and ender the md5 password and is successful. When I try to login, I still get an error. Please someone shed some light.
