Clarification needed - Boonex product support/ accountability/guarantees

I plan to apply the patch but I am just a bit worried because I have experienced a number of bugs in earlier versions of dolphin and can imagine a scenario whereby I apply the patch and new bugs start appearing to the point of it not functioning the way I want it, or it simply being inoperable and I don't have enough knowledge about software to be able to fix it myself. In the second scenario, I would be happy to pay for a programmer or DBA to fix these problems, but the point is that I bought the license and it didn't do what it was said to do and then because of a Boonex mistake, I could potentially cause costly problems to my site by applying the patch.

In other words, I bought a product that didn't work and then I will potentially create problems for my site by fixing a mistake with the faulty product. I just want to know where I stand with Boonex. My site is functioning well right now, but I want to remove the links that I have paid to have removed and as unhappy as I would be about it, might end up putting up with them to avoid any potential problems. Boonex has said, ''It is our fault and we hope to make up for it,'' but this is very vague. I want to know what assurances they offer. If I do experience problems post patching, there should be free support from Boonex to help me solve this problem. If you bought a gadget and on taking it out of the box discovered it was broken, would you expect to have to pay for the repairs yourself? I definitely wouldn't and the reason for this is that as consumers, we are protected by laws which I believe apply here. I want this to be clarified as soon as possible so I can proceed with confidence that Boonex has my back if something goes wrong.

By patch, I mean the ad-free license patch for people who had purchased this license that was released a few days ago.

I purchased the "SmartPro" Pack a few days ago and have yet to hear from anyone at boonex inspite of my continued efforts to get a status update with my purchase and when the install is to take place. I read a thread that everyone is on vacation but what company allows everyone to take a vacation at the same time? I am a bit concerned due to the lack of response. What is really going on at boonex? The timing is very odd. I need to know something! Did I just give my money away or see more what?

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
