what hosting companys are you looking at and do they meet the Technical Requirements for ray.

I like the hosting company i'm wtih right now.. they offer alot of resources so its hard to give up the package. only think they dont support is JRE for ray.

regards to your question, Debian and ubuntu are pretty much the same.. i think ubuntu is based on debian.

Hello totallyfreak,

I would say '- CentOs 5 (64 bit)" JUST because it's a 64 bit operating system, which offers the best performance in almost every aspect, plus 64 bit offers support for upto 8 Gigs of ram, versus 32 bits mere 4 Gig support.

IF your planning on running multiple sites, with high volume then I'd definatley go with centOS 5/64bit.

If you don't need that much speed or performance, then I'd say CentOs (32 bit).

Thats see more what i use.
