Guestbook spam issues or how to disable

I have heard in other forums that people are getting hit with spams through the Guestbook. Some even reported its php file being accessed. There seems to be a bug or hole that boonix didnt check. I am trying to disable it all together but I still find the links under 'My Blogs' or other sub menus. Anyway to remove it (just to be on the safe side)?

Go under "builders" and "navagational menu" to take the links off.. but the quickest way to stop the spammers is to just delete "guestbook.php" or re-name it.
